Is how I play wrong? Looking for answer from someone who isn't Bronze

So, most of my games, everyone focuses so much on killing each other, yet I am the type of person to just push lane and take towers because that wins games.

I feel like they are wasting thier time, so I take towers while they are distracted. I try to cs as much as I can, so I can have exp, gold, and level advantages.

Oftentimes my team wants me to join in on the jungle fights, and if it's needed in my eyes I will, but I take towers all game, and lots of the time, I feel it really helps.

Is it wrong for me to push lanes so much? I like my cs score to be high, and I feel a lot of the fights I see are just people trying to rack up kills instead of taking objectives.

Hell, I'll even solo dragon, than help tramfight, than take down a tower or two, unless I can just straight take 2 towers and an inhibitors before the enemies see how far I've pushed.

I do have a habit of over extending tho

Idk I feel like in soloq you need to babysit your team mid because whenever I try to get a bot or top wave and actually play the game right, someone instantly gets caught and dies xd

I feel ya there. That's why I cs like a madman, and I can handle 1 or 2 people coming at me and get a free double.

People are just mid, walking around doing nothing tho, waiting for someone to start a fight. I get bored there, and want to do something productive, like take a tower, a dragon, or herald.

Honestly, by the time I take a tower, the mid or jungle fight already started, so I just come in and last hit the low ones, force thier team out of mid, and than proceed to take the mid tower or dragon than tower.

AND I'M FLAMED SO MUCH FOR IT, YET I TEND TO CARRY THE GAMES

Tho I'm still not carrying good enough, as I'm bronze 5, worst of the worst

You sound like a splitpusher. That just sounds like a preferred playstyle.

I don't see the problem. It is a viable strategy.

Agree'd, you need to make sure you're using split-push champs if you're gonna pursue this lifestyle. Also, make sure your team is putting pressure elsewhere. If you're splitting top at inhib tower, and they're taking the outer tower bot chances are you're gonna get ganked by 3 members of the enemy team and die.

That said, it doesn't mean never group or work with your team. Have awareness for drags/purple pit monsters, and fights where you can tp down and save/turn a teamfight.

Olaf and Morde are the only ones that I can play well enough to play ranked. I dominate blind when I do play.

I can't land skillshots well so I stick to melee champs with high sustain. I'm a medicine Yasuo and slightly better Riven, but I like Morde's ability to build ap or ad, situational offensive resistances. I have more variety, high sustain, and a passive sheild and OP ghosts if I lose lane.

Splitpush is all good until their team groups as 5 and hard engages your team (Sejuani Malphite) Just make sure your TP is up before you go splitpush. Get some wards (even pinks if you still have place in your inventory) and place them in spots that cover a lot of vision.

If they are constantly able to respond to your efforts and stop you then a different strategy should be considered.

I also understand that players will often take the 4v5 fight without counting heads before hand meaning that you in theory could lose because of that instead.

You are doing the right thing in trying to focus on objectives but you have to do that when the opportunity opens itself and not when you are going to place your team at a disadvantage resulting in the other team winning a fight and pushing down mid to take an inhib or nexus.

I normally see players trying to win a fight or get a pick and then use that advantage to get objectives and in this you are the one placing your team at the 4v5 disadvantage. However if you are constantly able to force the enemy team to send 2 or 3 players to respond to you then split pushing works really well.

You seem to be a Split-Push oriented player. You didn't post what position you play, but Top lane power splitters like Fiora/Rumble/Gnar could be a good place to sit for awhile and study what you like to do. Up until about Platinum or so, you can split-push from the Top lane essentially the entire mid/late game because everyone goes mid to fight.

If you are objective focused, you should eventually become a shot caller. Even if no one listens (they won't in bronze/silver/gold), you can still be confident in your decisions. Worry not about your teammates, and focus on what you do well. You shouldn't change your style into something uncomfortable to you in order to appease everyone else.

I would recommend continuing to study and hone what you already do well. The Rift needs more shot callers that actually understand map progression.

I play all roles, mostly top, but I do like to mid, jungle, and adc pretty frequently.

I can only play Olaf and Morde well. Skills hots and range I am soooo bad with. I like melee champions with high sustain.

With Morde, Gunblade and Guinsoos has me WRECK towers, and if I get a ghost, it's even faster.

You're in bronze, yes its wrong. Sorry but that's as straightforward of a question as it can be. Watch high elo streams for the roles you play and see if your decision making is the same as yours.

This is why they are in bronze. The game is about objectives, not the deathmatch style that most bronzies play.

Five players can push against four faster than one can push against zero.

The way you play IS wrong.

What the hell are you building? You can't make a post acting like you're a victim of "muh team" and do this shit at the same time in Bronze 5.

What? I never blamed my teams for anything. I'm just bad, bronze for a reason, and have no clue how to fix it. I ward and cs more than I used to. I have a poke them down, sustain lane, and all in when they're low playstyle. I like to build offensive resistances like maw and zhonyas for better durability, more sheild from higher damage, a stronger sheild from resistsnces, and go hybrid for sustain from AP and burst from AD.

Where you see Guinsoos and Gunblade, it allows me to shred towers quickly, excell drawn out fights, and gives sustain.

The Maw is for MR, passive, CDR, and bursty Q's and damage when I'm on cooldown.

I used to build Rylias, Liandries, and Streak core, but since the nerf I never really get it. When I do, the slow doesn't last long enough for me to stick, so I just don't build it anymore.

I sometimes buy one tank item if I need to, but any more than that, than I'm lacking in damage and sustain, than I just die over and over again.

I think my biggest issue is getting too aggro. When I get ahead, I'll make stupid mistskes and underestimate my opponents. 2 vs 1, cool, I can hanfle that, but I need to learn how to deal with 3-4 man ganks. My early is normally really good, but because of that I get focused, make overly aggresive plays, and I get really behind. So it's only my fault for being Bronze.

I was just wondering if it's right or wrong to split-push when everyone goes mid, or roams the jungle for fights. I figure while they wait for a teamfight to be initiated, I could use that time to get objectives for my team, than once I get one or two, come to the already started team fight and clean up afterwards. I mean, it's not like Morde has the best engage ANYWAYS, so might as well make practical use of that time, right? No? Yes?

  1. You should probably team fight if everyone's grouping. Grouping and winning team fights is a very simple way to win solo queue. Few players can manage a split pushing strategy, so just keep it simple.

  2. STOP BUILDING ATTACK SPEED ITEMS ON MORDE. I saw that item 1043 in your match history. Never. Stop it. No excuses.

  3. I admire the effort, but I think you're trying too hard to be analytical about yourself. You should get someone else to critique you. I mean, you should critique you too, but you need someone to be a no bullshit critic of your play unless you're honestly your own harshest critic.
