A minor gripe about Target Champions Only
So i'm tired of accidentally clicking a minion while trying to flee an enemy or when executing a dive, or clicking the blast cone and screwing my own teammates over during jungler maneuvers. So i'm going to learn to use Target Champions Only. I decide since my thumb is the only digit on my left hand that's free to move about (I rarely use it, and that's for emergency recentering my camera) that i'll just use Alt for it. Problem is, Alt+MB2 is "Pet move". "No problem" I say to myself. "I'll just rebind it to my mouse wheel and use Alt as 'Target Champions Only'". Only I can't. The game absolutely refuses to use Alt by itself for any keybind. I even tried editing the inputs.cfg to force it to, with no luck. Apparently if the game detects an "invalid" input setting it just defaults to something else (once to the previous keybind, and once to the default... wierd).
Why? What possible design concern could justify outright forbidding certain input configurations? Is there some keybind that could give an unfair advantage? Sure I can make it a toggle and just set it to some other key, but for a couple of reasons I don't want to do that. I want Alt!
Can't you make Alt an allowable keybind? Or at least make a whole separate input for "Move/Attack That Only Targets Champions"? At least in that case I could bind it to Alt+MB2, which would create the same effect as I want to create by binding "Target Champions Only" to Alt.
