reworks happen for 3 reasons,

  1. Sales
  2. Control
  3. Broken

old as hell model and effects, outdated lore, ability name and icons could use a touch up, his voice lines need to be fixed to fit either new lore or his current lore, etc. his model has been changed only once since his first appearance as one of the 40 champions and it needs to be updated.

He remains as one of few champions left to be a VARC™ (Very Auto-attack Reliant Champion) and it's kinda amazing how well he still fits. Yes he needs a rework like many others, but just by considering how other hybrids (like Yorick and Akali) have gotten fully remade, Jax still almost works in the current meta.
