What is the Issue with Zoe?

In all honesty I don't see what the issue is with Zoe. I haven't played her yet, but I really don't see what makes her so op. I mean from what I understand of her abilities they boil down to. Passive: cast spells gain stronger attacks. From what I saw the bonus isn't amazing and her attack range is average. As such if she wants to make use of the skill she needs to get close and is an artillery mage so is liable to get her killed.

Q. Skillshot that deals high dmg if landed from long range. Zoe's bread and butter. While I have seen it do like 80-100% of peoples health as her pretty much ONLY damaging ability it does need to hurt. It seems pretty shit in all honesty if she doesn't hit you with an E or get a long range snipe. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe its the fastest projectile in the game and yet since Zoe needs to get a long range for it to really hurt as much as a Lux, Xerath or Syndra combo it seems to be overrated.

W. I can see why this ability is considered "overpowered" not in concept (Opponets use summoners and actives and you can copy them) But rather the fact you can keep stolen actives and sums for fucking ever. (I don't know if their actually permanent but they do seem to last for far too long) make it so they only last 4 seconds out of combat and it seems like they'd work just fine. Especially since you need to get close to pick up spell shards putting Zoe at risk.

E. Put shit to sleep extends to range if thrown through wall and becomes a trap if a wiffed. Sleep causes bonus dmg but is delayed. So a bit like a stun; with a relatively slow speed and distinctive look as long as your paying attention it's about as hard to dodge as a morg Q. What's more is that it's delayed so unlike Morg Zoe can't drowsy you to get away without zhonyas. As if your on her she'll likely die before sleep takes effect.

R. A short-ranged jump useful for extending Q dmg and evading skillshots but is unusable as an escape since Zoe always returns. Again seems like an ability that requires Zoe to land the E or be in a safe location. Not much to say in my opinion >.>

Personally I feel like Zoe is the next Camille. A character who was too strong on release not due to an inherently broken kit (cam is panth 2.0 and you don't see people complaining about him) but having an inherently intolerable kit to fight without an immediate noticeable weakness. (Yes Zoe is vulnerable to dives and nimble ADC's her W does make her a lot more annoying then the other Artillery mages) That's going to get nerfed and eventually forgotten as outside of a fun kit, and being annoying doesn't have much to offer.

But hey that's my opinion and I'd really like to read on what you people think since personally I don't see the ruckus and it seems that she's being hated because shes a CertainlyT and annoying to fight.

I think one of the main issues (atleast for me) with her is that she doesn't really get punished for mistakes.

Missed your E? No problem there is now a giant sleep trap on the ground that will probably sleep one of them anyway.

Didn't hit your Q? No problem you can spam it, so just try again shortly after.

You fucked up, died and the wave is pushing against your tower? No problem you found a teleport summ on the ground and can just tp back. Oh you fucked up again and fear now that your tower will go down? No problem because for some reason you found another tp so your enemy basically gets nothing for outplaying you two times in a row. That just feels shitty.

It's her combo. She has a death combo, which typically is unhealthy for the game. Her sleep is the main reason, and I'll explain why is synergizes so hard and is much better than a stun.

A stun is instant. You cast it, they get stunned. Your team, or just yourself, have from the point of impact to the end of the stun to react/take action. Since we're human, we don't have computer-like reaction time so we have to actually process the stun happening, which takes milliseconds. Zoe's bubble is different. It hits, you see the inevitable CC coming, and those milliseconds you lost to processing the impact of the stun before are prepped during the sleeps' prep. Once the target falls asleep, you can instantly react.

Now, aside from this, it synergizes too hard with paddlestar. Paddle star has a lot of prep time, however the more prep time it has, the more damage it can do. It's like a Nidalee spear but better. This is because there are two directions one needs to take into account when using paddlestar. While nidalee only depends on pure linear distance and has one max range, being from where it was cast to the end, paddle star uses the same formula but it can be cast backwards and technically has no max range. This huge prep time is why paddle star by itself is pretty balanced. You can see it coming, once it's cast the second time, it cannot be changed and is easy to dodge.

In comes trouble bubble. As soon as you are marked, your CC is inevitable. This allows Zoe to negate the entire disadvantage of her set up time, the huge balancing factor of her Q, and allow a nearly 100% success rate. She can prep most of the spell while the sleep is buffering, and once stunned, just simply hit you with it. The stun itself also lasts a very long time.

So in total, the bubble makes her huge damage about uncounterable once hit by the bubble which is very unhealthy. It's essentially a morgana Q but not as slow and also acts as a trap with often much more range. It's one of those feast or famine spells which, if misses, well try again next time. If lands, you die.

Nothing wrong with her. People just love to complain about anything new that comes out. Every argument about how Zoe is bad can pretty much be applied to multiple other champs in the game but they've been around so people are used to it.

Yeah I'm pretty much gonna say what every one else here has said. That combo is unreasonable. Her Q having a low CD makes sense as it is her only damage, but for the huge interaction it gets between potentially all 3 of her other spells ( Q, ult, a stolen flash from W and the bonus damage on E) it should either have a longer CD, E should have a longer CD, or the huge bonus it gets from comboing with E should be toned down.

Also, that sleep lasts way too freaking long. There's memes about morgana's Q, but that sleep lasts long enough to fall asleep at your keyboard

I only hate the RNG in her spell theif system. Some games you'll Lane against her and she'll pull simple things like flash and cleanse, other games she'll start pulling gunblade, teleport and redemption/heal.

The thing I dislike against her is the horrible RNG of her W and the trap AoE of her E,it hits when it shouldn't. -___-

Basically Lux but its single target and her cooldown on her abilites is very low. And she can one shot everyone pretty much always if she stuns somebody
