Sterak's Gage Changes..

Oh no. Oh, no, no, no. It's time for the AD assassin tank meta to make a comeback. At the very least? Burst-proof AD assassins. Is this what you want, Riot? You want to heavily nerf Triforce users (because Triforce has SO many good interactions, right? People only buy it for the sheen proc, you just seriously nerfed that proc) and now, for some reason, you've decided to buff EVERY BONUS-AD SCALING CHAMP EVER. They now have a reason to buy this. Do you realize what you've done? Burst-proof (even more than before) Rengar. Zed. Talon. It's an absolute miracle that ADC's can't build this item, but the AD assassins sure can. CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS PATCH. YEAH. THAT'LL BE FUN. ALLLLLL TRIFORCE USERS NERFED AND ALLLLL AD ASSASSINS BUFFED.

i dont like it either.

they should have reworked sheen passive instead.

this would allow them to make bruiser items more bruiser specific by adding more base ad increases, since most skirmishers, and assassins scale with bonus ad, while slower heavy fighters tend to scale with total ad.

like the new atmas could add base ad instead of bonus ad for example, which means it would be shit on assassins 100% of the time, with no risk of stuff like bruiser rengar or fiora.

theyre balancing trigage on the wrong end if you asked me.

literally all they have to do is calculate item 3057 damage before base ad increases and have it somehow expressed clearly on the tooltip.

I'm going to enjoy dying to champions who use Steraks better. despite being Part of the class it's designed for It's official with this Change Mordes 1OO% no longer a Juggernaut since none of its itemization support him anymore

Oh, yeah, that's right! Literally everything Sterak's offers is based around juggernauts, bruisers, or straight-up tanks. All of which focus on a lot of bonus HP and minimal offensive stats. That Sterak shield pop? That's massive, for healthy champions. And champions with a lot of HP tend to have base-AD scaling, not bonus-AD scaling. So overall this item just got completely gutted. That's cool, Riot!

There are two types of AD scaling: Total AD scaling (Trundle Q) and Bonus AD scaling (Zed Q).

The ONLY exception to this is Triforce and Sheen, which scale ONLY with base AD.

As a result, this Sterak's change is not a nerf to a single juggernaut. In fact it actually buffs a few of them (Darius).

I'm excited for this because it's going to expand the users. I'm looking forward to being able to build Sterak's on Rek'sai and Olaf without hitting a "feelsbadman" moment for how none of their kit scales with it.
