I Feel Like Fighters/Skirmishers Lack A Core Item

ADCs <--- Essence/IE Mages <--- Deathcap/ludens (could be argued mages also lack a core 'big' item) Juggernauts <--- Black Cleaver Tanks <---- ? (definitely lacking a core 'big' item) Fighters/Skirmishers <--- ? Assassins AD <---- duskblade Assassins AP <---- gunblade

I feel like there need to be more items beneficial to each classes in this game. I say this mostly because most skirmishers I play don't tend to have that "smooth" build path a lot of other champs have.

All the different Skirmishers already have varied build paths, so I don't really see how you could get one item to work for all of them (For example Master Yi, Jax, Riven all build differently)

Hydra doesn't provide the CDR most skirmishers need (only Fiora/Kled/Ren can really afford to build that early without CDR). BC just isn't a smooth and good powerspike for most skirmishers. While it is good, due to the AD hits, it just isn't filling the niche certain skirmishers need for the item to be considered a strong core. Triforce is very situational and most skirms would defer to BC over triforce. Youmuus simply isn't a good enough core to keep around come late game.

BC is absolutely the core item for skirmishers. Gives them damage, durability, and CDR.

If you consider XinZhao a fighter, then item 3124 would be core.

A melee only item that converts (conversion, not addition) a percentage of the physical damage you deal with auto attacks into true damage (for instance, 20%) would probably be ideal, considering that the point of skirmishers is to kill anything they can reach without dying-- and most of the time reaching the enemy front line is easier and safer than reaching the backline.
