Can We Give Annie Counter Play

Currently in lcs annie is a hotly contested pick because of a large aoe stun on a short cooldown it is so strong because she can hold her stun forever which is really strong in lane because she can hold it forever

another point I'd like to mention is the fact that all of annies abilitys have a .8 scaling and if you know anything about ap mids that is really good and once she uses tibbers->E->Q your hp is all gone not to mention a lot of annie mids rush rod she becomes quite tanky because of this

so I suggest reworking her passive to

Passive - Pyromania while out of combat every 5/3/2 seconds annie gains a stack of pyro mania at 4 stacks for the next 10 seconds her next ability will stun for 1/1.5/2 seconds if annie enters combat she loses half of her stacks (rounded down)

this give annie a some counter play in which she has power late game but curves it so that she isn't as oppressive early also reduce the scaling on her abilities to .7

If that's the case you should nerf Pants passive because with his W you get a free block lmao.

I agree with what you say but not your idea for a new pass. That would just kill her I think.

OK having her stun stop off after 10 seconds and she can only charge it through not being in combat is probably one of the stupidest things I've read on about how to add more counter play to her.

Not to mention having half her stacks stop off when she enters combat means that she either is forced to be the one to start to combat because a single minion attack could knock of her stun passive for at least the next 10//6/4 seconds of not being in combat.

This makes her passive all but useless.

and while trying to make her passive pretty much useless you want them to nerf her some more by taking away her damage..

No you cannot rework Annie's passive without giving her a full gameplay rework.

Her entire kit is based around the fact that she has a "reliable" form of CC.

The only way to reasonably compensate making Annie's passive into something that cannot be held indefinitely would be to up her burst (with near .8 ratios, as you pointed out, this is a stupid idea) or to give her utility in the form of a stun built into her Q, W, or R. And that doesn't solve the problem either.

Annie is in a reasonable spot. There are plenty of options to play against her, and there is counterplay to the fact that she has minimum range outside of a flash tibbers which, though you probably won't like to hear, IS dodgable.

Patch notes:

Annie - Summon Tibberzzzzz - There is no a short 2.5 sec delay until Tibberz appears. The animation roots annie and begins with her taking tibberz in 2 hands, hugging him, then throwing the little teddy bear at the area. Once Tibberzzzz hits the ground he grows rapidly in an explosion.

Your main point seems to be her high ratios and how you lose all of your hp very quickly, and you suggest making her passive dumbed down and less interesting. How do you support your claim that her passive is the part of her that needs reworking?

There is one part of Annie I really don't understand though and thats her e, her shield. It gives 50 armor and mr at rank 5, and is up roughly 5/6 seconds with full cdr. I don't know how I feel about that tbh.

There no reason to rework her passive. But there are reasons for small rework other abilities. Decrease AA range from 625 to 550 Q: Change to skillshot. With buff range like Veigars Q. R: Add delay with visible animation and let enemy dodge it. (like small Ziggs ulty) Ofc increase range for compensations. Maybe need additional changes to W. (Not-instantly damage or something) This realy will make Annie less toxic without destroying her kit.
