i used to do that build to tanks like Zac or Garen 
and i never died but now they reduced the health of randuins omen and they also added a better item than it so i use this set now 
and it feels a lot more comfortable

Meep Man1 votesI think this draws back to when Randuin's slowed the movement speed of attackers. This allowed its users to get into a fight or range of ADC without too much trouble. Then that was removed and DMP replaced it since now it does about the same thing as old Randuin's, but with a speed boost instead of slow.
Not to mention DMP gives much better stats against most champions.
Sniper 01 votesRanduin's is still good if the enemy team has multiple champs that are gonna be picking up crit and as but it's much more of a niche pick than it was before.
Randuin's is pretty much a direct counter to ashe now.
