Without using a dictionary to double-check a word I only sorta know because I've rarely seen this used any other way outside of very classic literature, "queer" in its offensive version is a slur for someone who is homosexual.

It also means, in the sense no one uses anymore, strange, or just different, to use a good-enough synonym, the same way "gay" also means happy, or just elated, or excited. So if you say "you're queer/gay", you're really saying they're different/strange/happy, but I'm pretty sure no one will ever hear it that way, no matter how nicely you say it.

Are you actually asking, or are you baiting an argument? Does it really need to be pointed out that those are still terms that are considered negative by the general public? Things that you might not immediately mention in a job interview as something you enjoy, or to a distant cousin you don't really know, or on a first date (unless, you know, it was going exceptionally well)?

Yes, if you say you're a furry or brony or anything like that, you're asking for it. I didn't make that rule and I'm totally indifferent about both of those things, but I can point it out as a fact. They're not things you'd say proudly to someone you're meeting for the first time. Or the second, to be fair.

If you can get picked on for it, it's good enough to be an insult. More things fall under that than you can ever imagine. The big one nowadays seems to be "autistic", though, and that bothers me, because no one even seems to know, not even in the most colloquial sense, what the hell autism actually is. Just because you saw Rain Man doesn't count, because that was a fictionalization, anyway.

It's never going to feel right as long as you're on the minority vote side, but the majority vote justifies everything ever done by anyone or any group in history. Arguing against it only makes the heat "bronies" get worse, not better. But that's a way deeper topic than enjoying the television show Friendship Is Magic. Which I admit I've never really seen, so, that's the root of my indifference on that one. I couldn't even tell you what channel it's on.

It's like what's considered "meta" or not. Lots of people copy it, few genuinely understand it. It's why it's easy to first be trolled, then later thanked for going Taric support (the guy I almost always pick if I can't pick Evelynn jungle for whatever reason, typically Teemo and/or Heimer), even if your team objects to it. Kinda off-topic, but I felt like this was straying way off "Gameplay and Balance".

Genuine question, do they have to be anthro? There always seems to be an argument somewhere of where the line is when it comes to furry. Some say so much as having cat ears alone is furry (or, to push it the tiniest bit farther, cat ears and a tail), whereas some say you need "more animal than human" features, like actual fur, or a face that clearly isn't human.

The farthest extreme is "feral", which is pretty much what it sounds like. Still, they use that term for "pokephilia" if the pokemon are in no way anthropomorphized, but still sexualized. But that excludes the ones that are already anthro-enough, like Gardevoir. You could probably call her anthro, because she doesn't really resemble anything besides Gardevoir, and so is more human than anything else. Like, like...I dunno. Liru, I guess.

To be honest, I dunno much about Pokemon. Haven't played since...I think it was Pearl, because I never got a 3DS, so I'm way behind on that.
