Please buff Stoneborn Pact (aka Reworked Bond of Stone)!

For those of you who don't know yet, Bond of Stone is getting reworked in the PBE.

STONEBORN PACT (Reworked Bond of Stone)

Gain 5% total health. Your movement-impairing abilities brand enemy champions with an earthen rune for 4 seconds. Other allied champions who attack branded enemies heal for 5 + 2.5% of your maximum health over two seconds (halved if you are ranged).

+5% HP is basically the same as the old Veteran Scars! Sure it also heals your teammates for a little bit, but it's nowhere near as powerful as a Keystone Mastery should be.

To elaborate, For the majority of champions, It gives far less health than even just Veteran Scars (which is just a tier 3 mastery!) for half the game. Even at level 18, most bruiser champs with say 2500 HP will only get about 125 extra hp from this mastery. Even tanks at say 3500 HP will only get 175 extra hp. The nerfed CotC will give more health than this even if you only proc it on only one enemy!

Please buff Stoneborn Pact from +5% HP to at least +7.5% or +8% HP.

Yeah, overall its pretty pathetic for a defensive keystone.

Realistically, Windspeaker's Blessing does more for you AND your team.

Can we stop with the "Tanks are just supports" bullshit?

Can we all agree the defensive tree should have the capabilities to cancel out the damage gained from Ferocity?

IDK it seems like it would be good on a few. Tahm for instance, or Naut.

Hell no. That thing seems very very strong already, especially when combined with item 3109 .

It really, really isn't. For the majority of champions, It gives far less health than even just Veteran Scars (which is just a tier 3 mastery!) for half the game, and only about 125 extra hp for most level 18 bruiser champions... Even for tanks with say 3500 hp, it only gives 175 health.

Yeah that bit is less strong, but I've seen the other half's potential (the heal). It's strong since it's based on the keystone-taker's health. It's like a tier one in combat ocean-drake for the team when on a synergistic champ (or one with mallet or rylais). I think the keystone is fine for now.

I wasn't asking for a buff on the healing though. I think the healing is fine too. It's just that the extra health it gives is too low. If they buffed it to 8% instead of 5%, it would be much more reasonable, without affecting the healing much or really at all.

Maybe they'll end up having to buff it, but I'd rather they hold back in case abuse cases crop up and people want the thing razed to the ground. If the extra health was any higher it might step on the toes of CotC and have similar issues to the old SotA.

If anything if it's not strong it'll be because the heal is over time over 2 seconds. I don't think buffing the straight stat of it to the point it's a fine pick_ just for that_ is the idea nor a great one

You're pushing it toward Strength of the Ages level maxed stacks right off the back (later on at least)

SotA was strong because there were many junglers (basically the meta junglers) that could get 300 extra health from it quite easily in the early and mid game. Meanwhile, this new Stoneborn Pact would only give 300 extra health if the champion already has 6000 health. That's an unreasonable amount to expect, don't you think? Even if they were to buff it to 8%, the champion would still need 3750 health to get 300 HP.

So no. Stoneborn Pact even buffed to 8% is nowhere near the strength of SotA.

I'd rather it be a little weak when it hits live and then buffered afterwards then have it be crazy strong and basically be a must pick keystone for a patch or two.

Yeah, but the problem is that it's not just a little weak right now, it's very, VERY weak. Stoneborn Pact is weaker than Veteran Scars (which is only a tier 3 mastery) for half the game, and you probably know that Veteran Scars is ALREADY a pretty weak mastery anyway! Even in the late game, the nerfed Courage of the Collosus will give far more health than Stoneborn Pact.

It's unreasonable for what is supposed to be a Keystone Mastery to be that weak.

I think this will be an interesting keystone because if anyone buys a Rylai's Crystal Scepter then they can be consistently applying slows onto the enemy team to mark the enemy team.

You don't take it on anyone that buys rylai's though. Champions like Cass Vlad Sol Brand Swain ar all better off with one of the damage keystones or Stormraider's

you do know there is more to it than 5% extra hp and has no cooldown to the procs right and with this mastery we might be able to see a nunu support without the team with him not flaming [slayer-jinx-wink]
