Why can enemies not see Ekko's W but can see Bard's R?

Make Bard's R invisible then

Why does it take you more than 3 seconds to react to a very telegraphed ability? I know the circle is only visible for the last .5 seconds I've been told that a billion times, but can no one see the wind up animation or hear the really loud noise it makes? Odds are ekko is either throwing the W to where you will be or on himself. It's not like it's hard to predict.

bard makes movement, noises and shit too bruh your points are invalid.

but does it have a 3 second delay

Mat7itan1 votes

Uh no? There is no delay on his ult aside from travel time which is nowhere near 3 seconds.

Rhetorical question, I know Bard doesn't have a delay besides travel time.

But I will be honest, there should be a little more travel time indicator on Ekko's W, maybe at least a second.

But it doesn't do all of that and have a 3 second wind up, or require bard to be in it.

lol that argument doesn't take into account players at all. By that logic, thresh and Anirva should never land their skill shots either. It's not easy to predict if the "PLAYER" is unpredictable. the cast range is huge, so it's easy to cast it from outside of the enemy vision, and you don't cast it where you are, or where the enemy is, you cast it where you will push them, by combining it with minion waves, turret aggro, or even Q, you can push the enemy into it. It won't work every time, but that's what skills shots are about (especially those slow ones) it's about predicting the enemy, but also about manipulating them into going where you want them too. Combining it with last hitting for cannon minions is one of the easiest, but your timing and follow up needs to be pretty perfect.

For the OP. I think the cast range should probably be smaller, and the AOE visible a bit sooner. I think when you cast it, the "telegraphed" image appears behind you every time, if it always appeared near the end zone, at least it'd be a bit easier to predict where it was aimed. right now it's like a game of chicken. Did he place it on him thinking I'd engage, did he place it on me thinking I wouldn't notice, did he place it behind me thinking I'd retreat. If you don't predict correctly it is very hard to avoid, so the real pressure is on the aiming, dodging part is not easy, if people are finding it easy, it's because the Ekko is bad at aiming

If my argument doesn't take into account the player then neither does yours. If I predict where an ability will hit, but that person used the ability predicting where I would be then they wouldn't land skill shots because they did not predict me predicting their prediction. For example I have used Ekko's W predicting where an enemy would be going, but then they end up going in a completely different direction. If they had gone where I predicted the would it would have been a good W (I missed, and it had nothing to do with how good my aim was), but they did not move where I thought.

Players are predictable (everyone is). I dodge a lot of skill shots because I can predict when a person will use them based on the way they move and then take a step in one direction and then turn around an head in the complete opposite.

lol that doesn't even make sense, I am talking about the player but don't consider the player? I didn't even read the rest, no point:

Bard's ult has less of a delay.

You get to see Ekko's clone for three whole seconds, so you have time to guess what Ekko's planning on doing. But I do admit the clone could use some clarity, maybe glow a different color so you don't confuse it with his ult.

Hes comparing ekko's W to bard's R not ekkos R

IcyPepper2 votes

I am talking about Ekko's W.

You see some clone of Ekko (that is not his ult) coming up to bat to create an anomaly. I'm suggesting a slight change so people don't confuse it with his ultimate's ghost, for visual clarity.

Oh i gotchu, sorry for the misunderstanding.

IcyPepper2 votes

No problem, misunderstandings happen all the time. Especially to me, who misunderstands half of everything.

Why do you want Bard to be over-powered? He deserves a heal buff and that's it. :^|

ZeroAnarchy1 votes

You can't cleanse Bard's ult.

because ekko has to anticipate where enemies will be 3 seconds in advance for it to be useful at all?
