Why is it so hard to play safe and farm? How do people have 11 deaths in a game and think its ok???

Each and every death I have in the game that doesn't secure an objective makes me very angry at myself, and I change my playstyle if I get even a single death before 10 minutes to make sure it doesn't happen again until late game.

I'm not going to pretend to be the best player in this game.. but in every single match, in every lane that isn't mine, one side almost always feeds 6-7 kills before laning phase ends, effectively ending the game by 7-10 minutes in.

I go out of my way to make sure that I won't feed and I know to not trade a kill for a kill unless it secures an objective or a bounty.

So many games, however, my sidelanes feed.. and feed.. and feed.. and make it impossible to carry. Even if I try to gank, by the time that vayne is 4/0, it's now too risky to try to help that lane and I have to try to secure objectives.. but it's basically RNG every single game as to which lane is going to make the game uncarryable and unwinnable.

If I die more than 3 times in a match, I get very angry at myself, and I know that it's a case of bad play, but it feels like other people in all of my games just don't even care, and die 11+ times in a match like it's nothing. Like, even when I play a brand new champion I've never touched, if I die once in lane, I'm going to rush a defensive item, play safe, farm, and ping when mia. Why is this so incredibly difficult for people to do, where they insist on still trying to duel when they're already 2-3 items behind?

Sometimes dying a lot can have uses, more often than not most players don't know how to tactically die.

Sometimes it's just unavoidable. If the enemy team is targeting you specifically then you need to make use of that to waste their time and such.

you have to play aggressive to get ahead and to take objectives.

although i was Fat AF, there was nothing i could do safely without my team present, and they were dependent upon me to do the work before hand to give them the confidence to go in and clean up afterwards.

they dont have a problem with playing safe, but they just dont want to play for 50minutes and crank out a late game win where the only time your tank feels tanky is with a full 6 item build and everyone else beside them.

(it also helps when you can play from 3 screens away, most champions simply dont have the range to do it without exposing themselves)

Your mentality is the reason why you're low gold. You need to fail to get better, but if you play every match conservatively you'll never learn anything, and only stagnate at your current rating. IDC what my score (read: e-penis) is, I'll try to make play happen and learn from those that didn't work and those that worked alike. Meanwhile, you're still sitting at your turret missing EXP and CS. Also, in the current meta it's extremely easy to get doven by champions with a little armor, so tower hugging is often times not an option if you're already far behind.

But the thing is - if you're going even with your enemy, you likely won't get towerdove unless they are pushing you to turret and their jungler comes and helps to tank turret. By that point, you've already made several mistakes. People can't just straight dive you like they used to with Roaming Alistar meta unless you've already screwed up.

And it's one thing to die when you're getting something out of it, i.e. protecting teammate, securing objective, getting bounty, but it's another to just be pants on head retarded and keep autoing the 5/0 Vayne as though YEP THIS TIME SHE'S GOING TO LAG AND IM GOING TO OUTTRADE HER YEP YEP which seems to be the thought going through the mind of my allies in most games.

Dieing for a teammate is NEVER worth it (unless you're very high elo). Also, if you just plan to go even, you're basically relying on your teammates to not go 0-11. So that means, before every game you're basically flipping a coin about whose teammates are better. Good luck with that.

I would say if I am 3/1/5 it is worth dying for the 12/3/3 Jinx in a teamfight if it guarantees that it will actually save her, and if she won't be retarded and immediately go in and start autoing the 23/1 Yasuo with windwall up.

And I didn't say go even - I almost always leave laning phase a kill or 2 above my opponent, sometimes a lot more from roaming, and at least match their CS so that I almost always come out ahead, because I am smart and know when it is safe to trade with my opponent, and when it is not. I get pissed when my jungler towerdives during a gank to get a kill, but ends up feeding my lane opponent a kill too. They would say 'its 1 for 1 + assist so its worth'. No it isn't, you just gave them 300+ gold and set yourself behind by doing that, and got them closer to their next item, when I was perfectly happy denying them CS and making smart trades. You just made it a lot easier for them to buy their defensive item and made my job a lot harder.

Sometimes jungle ganks happen which prevents that, but in that case, I'm going to ward my lane, cs as much as I can without taking free damage, and buy a Neg Cloak or Seeker's to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It feels like people just go "Welp I auto'd the Vayne and died to the Leona stun... better buy more damage and do it again!!!!11"

This is a really a well thought out point, and it's one of the critical factors when I assess someones play in ranked/league. **If you have died more than 5 times in the laning phase, you are doing something critically wrong and are costing your team the game. **

Most players up to platinum/diamond level do not even grasp this.

Mainly because kids are bad at games, and it's generally hard to tell in league how powerful a champion is at a particular point in the game.

People are dumb. This is why I steal all their farm when I gank unless they've proven they deserve it lol.
