Riven's cooldowns are far to low to allow any windows to catch her and kill her.

As much as I hate Riven's mobility and CC being that mobile and strong on a resourceless champion has to have a trade off (an exploitable one at that). Scratching 5 movement speed off her was basically a joke of a nerf. If Riven truly is fine in her current state in the damage and mobility department something needs to be done about her stupidly low cooldowns. And once she gets a single CDR item there is no hope when it comes to stopping her top lane snowball.

Riven trades a lot for her mobility. Riven basically is just a more agressive and noobstomping Irelia. She stays squishy even if ahead. She has no comebackpotential in lane because of her 0 healthregen and her kit forces her to decide between mobility or damage.( if she engages in lane her escape is gone and she is completly vulnerable in that moment, she has to pick correct fights all the time, 1 mistake and the lack of healthreg and her squishy character shut her down instantly.) Is shutdowned by silence/anything else that prevents her from using her e even if ahead. Has A LOT of counters on toplane. Her only real powerspike happens midgame because they nerfed her early q damage ( ad scaling scales with points in it = early you wont do shit) and relies heavyly on mistakes of their opponent to get ahead earlygame. ( her 3 q's does less damage than a rengar q, its beyond me how people can die to riven earlygame, seriously). Her teamfighting is shit compared to other picks in later stages of the game. She is a hit or miss champion with an average earlygame at best and falls off in lategameteamfighting = she only has the midgame and she gets outclassed in midgame by picks like Irelia if riven didnt get ahead a lot. Riven actually has one of the most vulnerable laningphases in the game if you are not retarded and have a not potatoe as a jungler because she is so snowballreliant and predictable.

If you die to riven in lane without being yasuo or jungler influence than you got outplayed, riven got overnerfed already btw, statistics prove that. But hey thats gameplay and balance, logic and asking for basic understandings of a matchup in a qq thread is anyway too much. Its like the zed/leblanc circlejerk, you guys wont learn that these champions are not viable even if they have 20% winrate just because they are frustrating to play against in lane if the enemy laner doesnt understand the matchup. Its a meme to cry about riven at this point and its nothing else but a bad joke people with understanding of the game make. Sadly some low elo people really think that she is op from time to time as well and make stupid threads like that, pretty anoying. A lot of high elo riven mains switched to other champions after the movementspeed and r misslespeed nerf because there are simply stronger and better and more relaxing champions to picks at the moment btw. Even the shy stopped playing riven alltogether because she is trash. She could use some love, not nerfs.

Her E isn't short, and as for her "short" dashes, she has 3 of them. I've lost count of how many times I've exhausted Riven (one of the more potent slows in the game) and she still lols away like it's nothing. fuck she even gets away from Nasus despite wither without any problems, he might get as far as getting one Q in if he times his advance really well, but that's about it, as for what dmg you get to do to her, her fucking shield will make sure she mitigates a shitload of it, thus staying safe until she can complete her rotation of cancer dashes or start her next. There is no slowing Riven, either you chain cc her and kill her or she gets away. Don't bother just going 2 against her, it's practically never enough.

Lel slow her, slows are practically useless against Riven, you'd need a 5-6seconds 50% slow to entirely negate the mobility boost she gets from all of her dashes, because thats more or less the ammount of time she spends spacing out her 4 dashes while running for maximum effect.

Q, run, Q, run, E, run, Q, run - Q, Run, E, Run, Q, Run, Q Run, however the fuck you do that shit the end resoult is always the same: DENIED. I'ts borderline impossible to even get any half assed Riven to burn their flash.

Way easier said than done, most point and click CC is extremely close range, Riven will be gone by then. And if you don't have point and click CC its even harder.

Riven does jump around a lot to avoid skillshots. She doesn't have many weaknesses you can really exploit. Hug tower most of the game, ping whenever she roams.
