So many skins feel so.... bland

Ashe skins are just blue with fancy particles. Everything is mecha/project/sci-fi now. Sure, sometimes we get some fun skins once a year, or a cool one now and then, but even GG MF was just mecha mf. Aurelion Sol could have had such an awesome, unique style of skin. Nope, make it mecha. I'm not saying all new skins are bad, in particular I think the Braum one is awesome because it's creative, it looks great, and it has a little personality to it. Make skins that matter.

The issue is that tastes vary. I'm not a fan of garish over-designed fancy skins with a billion fancy effects and obnoxious new voice lines. Conversely I love the Warden skin line and, I kid you not, Crimson Elite.

That's what I'm saying though. Warden offered a cool theme that wasn't just sci-fi/mecha. They even made an Ashe skin that wasn't blue on blue. Crimson Elite could've been really great because it could have had some cool lore implications, or at least given us a glimpse into Noxian uniforms.

What it comes down to is Riot has the actual sales data on skins and heavily favors the themes and champs that sell the best. It's why Ahri gets a new, brightly colored skin every year. That's just how it's going to be with a f2p game unfortunately. Too much of Riot's income depends on skins for them to make ones that don't sell
