Yorick Rework (Concept)
Here's my pitch for a Yorick Rework:
Yorick remains melee, and can be built as a glass cannon (health supplied by ultimate), or a tanky AP bruiser.
Passive:
For every unit that dies near Yorick, he gains a point in his secondary bar (Ghoul Bar) that increases his ability power.
Yorick's attacks deal 50% ability power instead of attack damage. starts with 0 attack damage and 50 ability power. Ability power grants him a larger secondary bar, allowing him to have a maximum 2x ability power.
- His basic attacks will do a maximum of 100% ability power, or a minimum of 50% ability power.
Q: Costs X Ghouls
For the next few seconds, Yorick's attacks gain attack speed and rapidly regenerate his secondary bar whilst dealing AOE damage around the attack, however his attack damage are greatly decreased.
W: Costs X Ghouls per second
Upon cast, an AOE area is selected (and highlighted for both teams). Yorick's secondary bar is rapidly drained, and upon recast a large ghoul is summoned in an explosion, dealing damage based on points drained and having an attack and health based on Yorick's ability power on cast.
- This forces the player to choose between a larger explosion, or a larger ghoul.
E: Costs 1 Ghoul per second
Toggle ability that replaces his passive and costs a point per second. When an enemy unit (or ghoul) dies near Yorick, Yorick is healed and a small ghoul is summoned that prioritizes Champions, exploding upon contact.
-
These ghouls can spawn infinitely if the toggle is on.
-
A W/E combo will allow Yorick to clear waves quickly while replenishing his health, but leaves him with very little in his bar.
R: Costs 100% Ghoul Bar
Once his secondary bar is full, Yorick can cast his ultimate on an ally champion (or himself), immediately draining his bar, adding their stats to to his and adding their items to his, while allowing him to attack normally and with their attack, lasting 10 seconds. Small ghouls are summoned in an aoe around him.
If cast on another champion, if the targeted champion dies, Yorick replenishes a full secondary bar and the duration lasts for an additional 10 seconds, while the targeted champion's movement is locked onto Yorick but can attack and cast as normal until the end of the duration. If Yorick dies, Yorick explodes, dealing 100% ability power in an AOE explosion. His abilities cost nothing, however his passive death gain is disabled.
If cast on himself, if Yorick dies, he explodes dealing 200% ability power.
-
If the targeted champion is ranged, Yorick will only start to attack once in melee range.
-
The visual for his ultimate is an enlarged "ghost form" of a champion hovering above Yorick (much like Spirit Guard Udyr's stance change)
