A Fan-Suggested, RiotGames's MMORPG

Disclaimer: The following is entirely fan-suggested, and is in no way information leaked from RiotGames. View this "article", if you will, with the meaning to suggest and improve on the idea of a possible MMORPG that RiotGames could create.

The Fight for Runeterra

Overview:

"The Fight for Runeterra" (name still in progress) is a team-worked based Sandbox MMORPG. It would follow the traditional 3D format, but have an action-oriented combat system, as well as a First Person View.

Background:

The game takes place during the four Rune Wars (or however many there were), on Valoran.

Servers:

The first two servers are PVP, in an every man for themselves. The lore for LoL mentions tribes appearing and going, allowing players to create their own factions and fight each other. The later two servers are PVE, similar to Planetside 2's system, where you can only fight players from other factions. The factions would be the existing city-states, that did exist in the later Rune Wars.

Classes:

One suggestion for a unique class system is to have a "class triangle", similar to the body type triangle some MMO's use in their character customization. The points would be Blade, Range, and Magic. Depending on the point on the triangle, the skill tree changes for the player, as well as their damage with their respective weapon. Players can change their positioning at any time, similar to Archeage or Firefall's system.

The second suggestion would be for players to have the traditional system, in an effort to have players like "Best Riven NA", or rather "Best Tank NA", being the top in their "field" through "hard work".

Races

As awesome as playing as a yordle would be, as well as the other races in this game, only humans would be playable, the others being NPCs.

Territory

Similar to Planetside 2, all servers would have a territory system, though player-decided. By putting up fences/walls to towns in the faction, it expands the factions.

NPCs would live in those towns, with players having to defend them for rewards, in player-created dynamic instances. These instances would work as such: Twenty Noxus players start attacking a town. The NPCs have trouble keeping up. Fifty Demacian players are sent to the town. They defeat the Noxus players/save the NPCs. They reap the rewards.

Void

The void would play the role as the monsters you fight. Constantly invading, portals would open across the map. Players would need to defeat them, protecting the nearby townsfolk etc.

*Factions

The leaders of the later two Rune War's factions would be RiotGames. They would decide and guide the drama, i.e. allegiances, declaring war, etc. The earlier two Rune Wars can have unlimited factions, essentially guilds.

RP/IP

An MMORPG account is automatically created. The RP is shared between the accounts, however the IP is not. The IP would be renamed to something appropriate. The RP would be used to buy faction ownership, mounts, etc. Nothing that would give them an unfair advantage, but EXP boosts, IP boosts are fair game.

I, Piratedcopy, will definitely continue to add to this discussion. I hope any supporters could give suggestions, as well as raise awareness for RiotGames to maybe create an MMORPG.
