Why isn't Ivern getting hotfixed already?

Seriously 57% win rate is nothing to joke about and I'm tired of perma banning always the same champion. When Sona had 58% win rate she got hotfixed and nerfed for the next 2 patches, why is Ivern so privileged? He should've been addressed at least in 7.4.

Your question is sort of misleading as this is less a problem of hotfixing him (as he is not "suddenly" OP) but rather a problem of Riot not adressing him half a year ago when it was clear that he overperformed.

The answer: it was never a pressing issue because people do not feel his power. Yes, he is definetely way too strong for way too long, to the point where if Yasuo was that strong he'd be hotfixed immediately. But supportive champions that do not deal damage (Janna vs Sona btw) simply do not feel that powerful to the vocal part of the community. That means Riot gets away with carefully assessing his power (having more time to balance is always great, the downside is that the game is inbalanced during the time of "assessing" the situation) without community backlash.

So to fully answer the question: if people cared less about Yasuo and more about actually strong champions (although Yasuo is actually too strong this patch, but people have been complaining for way longer) then Riot would balance more appropriately. But they don't so there is that.

Thank you. I didn't realise that.

Here is the thing these changes do not remove the frustration of being constantly behind on gold because he steals your camp then when you try to grab his as a counter you just get collapsed upon and killed by 4 people because you cannot take a buff that fast lvl 2.

For ivern to have meaningful changes he needs one of the following modifications.

1: level limiter placed on smiting. I.e he needs level 2 or 3 in order to instant smite camps, this prevents the lol took your camp and all 3 of mine lvl 1 bull.

2: Junglers who are within 900 units of ivern prevent channeling of his passive when in enemy jungle only.

3: smiting a camp slows ivern by 60% and reduces resists by 10 for 4 seconds falling off over time.

There is no reason ivern should be non interactive when it comes to camp stealing! its not a unique mechanic it is a toxic mechanic that goes against riots stated philosophy when it comes to ability balance to always allow to play around a given skill in some form.

a stupid question if i may?

how often do you face Ivern in your games?

Swarovsko1 votes

Did you read? I said I permaban Ivern, so how often do I face Ivern in my games? Do 2+2. Also what the fuck does that even mean? Just because a champion is not played it doesnt mean it has to be left broken for several patches.

why permaban him ? he only has a 5 % pick rate that means in a 100 games you will see him 5 times

is he that much or a problem to you ? funny thing is his biggest counters have just as high of win rate.... have you met Nunu ?

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

Nunu has a 55.49% win rate but no cries over the yeti? why ?

This is why the boards are fucking backwards. Ivern is in no need of a hotifx, but nerfs, yes. Now, Le Un Le Seul comes back with the PBE nerfs for Ivern and gets downvoted.
