@Riot, Can Yorick get some tuning?
We see so many champion reworks and remakes get done and the champs get tuned frequently in the first few weeks, but we have not seen the same with Yorick outside of QoL changes. The most recent ended up being balanced out by reducing the damage of his ghouls at early levels. He could really do for a slight bump in damage or utility, as currently he feels lacking in a few aspects.
If he is going to remain relevant, then he definitely could benefit from some changes. A short list of places to look for improving him are:
Graves production (count all dying units instead of only enemies) Mistwalker/maiden durability (increased number of auto attacks required to kill them, scale with ranks in R) Wider hit box on Mourning Mist Remove Maiden % health damage proc cooldown (from every 2 seconds to anytime Yorick hits them), lower % of health (makes him scale more with attack speed and auto attack resets) More ways to apply Mark from Moruning Mist (preferably with auto attacks or Last Rites) Movespeed gains from Mourning Mist on cast, regardless of hitting an enemy and not just toward enemy champions (provides a slight amount of mobility, increased toward marked targets, but at least 10 to 15% movespeed even when not toward them) Increased missile speed of Mourning Mist
Obviously cannot have all of these, but picking a couple of them would be a fine way to improve him and strengthen his kit without necessarily making him overpowered by any means, with most of these being changes to his utility or increases in reliability of his kit. The last two would be among the easiest ones to implement, while the change to Maiden would prove the most damage oriented option available and really make many of his available builds more reliable in damage and slightly less bursty.
I really only enjoy playing Yorick, and have the most games on him of any champion I own. He has such potential, interesting story, and unique gameplay, where he can really play this AD caster style from mid or back line in a fight having Mistwalkers leaping in from range, if ONLY he can hit Mourning Mist. All this said, if anyone has any other ideas feel free to add them, but try to avoid things like call functions for Maiden, or other AI related control features, as such changes would come at a great cost of damage in his kit.
