I honestly just started playing mages with splitpushers top every now and then. Sometimes I play Rengar, but it doesn't feel enjoyable anymore. Lack of fluid casting, entire rework feels as if they mixed:
- We MUST have some form of counterplay, so we will allow players to see Rengar in his ultimate (invisibility/stealth changes)
- Adcs are complaining about being rooted by Rengar, so we'll remove his pre-stacked ferocity and force him to build bruiser to continue gaining ferocity
- We may have weakened him too much, so we'll throw in a 50% heal that can be spammed twice to heal up 100% of the damage you recently took and force Rengar players to build as a bruiser over assassin.
- To make up for the being seen in ultimate, we'll have his ult last 30 seconds, but that's too op, so higher ult indicator range and he can only see one person.
*Scrap his old bonetooth and throw in some bonus ad for bruiser Rengar.
I understand it's Riot's game, but this isn't balance. This is an abomination created from being torned between satisfying the adc mains that complained on Reddit and trying to give Rengar mains the damage he had before, with a crutch for not being useless if you got shut down early (bruiser Rengar with 50%-100% heal). Even after the rework, complaints still came from adc mains, well everyone mostly, and his ban rate was super high or he managed to get through pick/ban phase to be picked. I doubt Riot will allow him to remain in this state and see him being gutted at some point, instead of reverted. Learned how Mordekaiser mains felt about their rework, though. Aside from the whole forced into swapping roles issue.
