Anyone else remember the mess that was Competitive Season 4?

Straight up, does anyone remember how crazy the competitive scene was like way back when?

Base Race, Double Jungle, Super Stall, Protect the Dog, Sivir Stampede, Bot Lane Fiesta (the real one, ahem) it was like every other patch there was a new way to play the game and the game (at high level play at least) was always tumbling over itself.

I don't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing but man is it fun to remember.

I remember season 4 as the season when the AP Support Mages attacked. You had your Annies and brand blowing up everyone everygame. If you weren't rocking a Zyra, Karma, Annie, etc. you were just going to lose. Anyone remember when Lucian + Annie was the go to botlane?

Season 4 was when they realized back in Season 3, when everyone thought Lucian was hot garbage when he first game out, that if you built Trinity Force on him he was amazing.

I miss Season 3 the most though, to be honest. I missed that sensation of holding on tons of wards, lighting up the map and knowing my wards could make or break a game as the support. It just wasn't #BigPlays and steadily they took everything away from what once made a support: healing supports made that come back with the Ardent meta, but once that fizzled out they're mostly irrelevant and taken over by High damage supports it seems once again. At least, that's what I've noticed.

Stupid "unbeatable tactics" gimmicks like that still exist, but if the enemy team hasn't spent the last month drinking lead-based paint, then it doesn't work, and the team disintegrates to the counter attack.
