Maybe you'll read the responses by accident. If you don't want to play with people who are trying...then play normals and mute everyone. Its fine that you aren't a "try hard," but when you are playing with others in ranked they will expect you to do everything in your power to win.

Personally i stay way from ranked (last time i was ranked was season 3), because i don't give a shit, but i'm not going to join a game and be like "oh well its not like you guys are pros, stfu and cool it"

Trying is one thing. Being so serious about it that you might as well be playing it as a job is completely different. League is a game, a competitive game, but a game none the less. Losses will happen, however some people don't know how to handle it properly.

Tryhards are people who overreact when someone doesn't take the game as seriously as they do. It's not that others are not taking the game seriously, it's that they don't live up to the tryhards very high expectations. There's the occasional person who literally doesn't give a shit, but most of the time tryhards take out their pent up idiocy on the common folk.

Honestly, tryhards will follow you everywhere you go. I lost a normal game and reported a guy cause he was being a plain dick. He then follows up and messages me and then types an irate message about how everybody but him is bad, and how he needs to be a dick in order to win.

But to be frank, Ranked is tryhard mode so you can't complain too much about them there.

It depends: If it is normals I agree. If it is ranked: Please respect the try hards and put in a strong effort. I personally and am a casual and stay out of ranked for that reason so I can play for fun and leisure.

There's a big difference between putting effort in and playing as if your life depends on it. I think that's the difference he's meaning.

I always give it my all, regardless of queue type (except for certain customs), but some people take it to a level that should be completely avoided.

And that is a respectful difference, just as there is a difference in types of casuals I understand there is a difference in types of "try hards" that have their own respecftul and distasteful levels.
