now, instead, put your primary whatever you would have done in team builder. Put "mid" secondary and 90% of the time you will get your role! if you actually wanted mid, (well you're fucked but you can still put mid primary and get it maybe 50% of the time; just don't put support or fill secondary or you'll never get mid)

next, there are only 6 bans out of over 120 champs so your champ will likely not be banned unless it is on the current shitlist in which case you deserve to not be playing it anyway!

your assumption is incorrect, I'm not attempting humor but giving advice because i keep seeing "bring back team builder threads", something that won't happen

I just do not get why it was removed instead of blind pick. Team Builder did offer something unique - the ability to play X champ in Y role, guaranteed. Granted if you went for something less popular like Janna mid or top LeBlanc, perhaps you'd have to wait longer than other people to get your game, but you'd eventually get into a game with 4 other people who did not mind your pick.

Blind pick, on the other hand, offers nothing that draft or TB could not cover. The one thing it does is it lets people who don't care who they play and where they do pick lane and champ according to their teammates, however that's pretty much what you get from the "fill" option in draft. Blind is a pretty toxic environment overall, and TB was pretty swell.

actually, blind pick offers the quickest queue and lobby times. i play blind when i don't feel like wasting 15+ minutes (yes it can really take this long these days) before getting into a game and when i don't care about the nuances of draft

not gonna sell new champ select bc obviously you're looking for guaranteed role/champ 100%,

and while team builder did offer that unique feature, i guess the benefits from removing TB outweighed the losses. People who miss TB are very vocal but given the queue times in that mode, from my experience, I'm guessing it is by far the least populated game mode (except dominion but that's unique as a map and been around for a while, whereas TB is just a slightly different take on SR which detracts from population of other queues resulting in increased average queue times).

but id have to agree, actually. Im not one to be selfish and say take away TB so these others queues are shorter. I played it maybe 5 times when i just had to play a champ 100%. Obviously a lot of people really want it back, so why not just put it there and have them wait an hour or whatever may be the case. I wonder what other possible reasons they may have removed it for

Most people I know played TB over BP.

Honestly, I'm not sure about the queue times. I main support, so I usually had very short queues. Hell, I had the luxury of being a diva and leaving teams when I did not like the team comp, lol. Even in the occasional times where I queue'd for mid, the queue time was pretty reasonable especially when you compare it to queue + draft process nowadays.
