What's with the surge of low quality games?

In all of my losses I documented at least two or more teammates:

  1. Playing a champion in ranked for the first time
  2. Playing a champion they are bad with
  3. Still playing while on a massive losing streak
  4. Fresh outta placements / In placements
  5. Tilted (either because of League or IRL)
  6. "Sleepy" or under the influence
  7. Straight up trolls
  8. Tunnel vision
  9. Unusually uncooperative
  10. Feeding
  11. General negative attitude
  12. Rage quitters (Only takes one quitter to lose a game)
  13. Autofill

In my wins my teammates:

  1. Knew how to play their champions
  2. Cooperative
  3. Friendly
  4. Knowledgeable about macro play

In my losses lolskill's live game lookup gave me a negative outlook of an outrageously unfair win chance favoring the enemy team of up to 60% to my team's 40% (reasonably so as mentioned above).

In my wins lolskill's live game lookup gave me 51% to 49% win chance.

The deciding factor in my losses is always one of the aforementioned reasons. It must be Riot's way of saying "Hey you're good.. but are you 1v9 good?"

It's a growing side effect from the game being rushed into popularity. Being labeled a competitive esport draws in; the tryhards, solo-ists, and self-entitled people. Who aren't teamplayers by default since they're used to being able to either do everything, or have everything done for them. Which only leads to hostile gameplay when there's other players trying to work together. Basically it's been attracting the obsessively competitive people that don't play sports, instead of the people who want to play the game casually; causing a game-wide issue of objective 'fun', as the original community was for the fair & fun style. It's been an increasing problem for years unfortunately . . .

I just got out of a game where my mid-lane Ori died once to a level 3 all-in against a Kayle, then said the game was over at the 4 minute mark. She then proceeded to run into random lanes, steal CS, and generally try to demoralize the team with her defeatist attitude. I reported her at the end, but I doubt anything will happen. The player will most likely move on and do that in the next game.

Surge? Its been happening for months.

in MOBA or online game terms in general, a Surge could easily cover months, though sadly i don't feel like a 'surge of players' is my problem on why i seem to get mostly bad games and the enemy team always seems to have a bunch of players who magically are super good and are running meta brokenly abusive pick champions, regardless of whether the ban selections in draft covered most of them.
