Things i like about this update..

  1. to start off jging isnt as easy as before. You dont get increased mana/health regen for hunters machete and not as much health back for killing monsters if any. And now that there is no mana potions starting at blue is more required for jglers. instead of being able to go through red camps and everything down there and still have half mana to go take blue and the rest. I play jarvan, trundle, kayle, elise, etc. in jungle and it is definitely more of a challenge.

  2. Rift herald - So the first time i tried to take this thing i didnt understand how powerful it really is. Me (sion), shaco, and a velkoz were trying to take it at around 15 mins. i didnt fully understand it since it takes barely any damage then loses a chunk out of nowhere. but it does a good bit of damage and isnt easy to 1v1 unless your really fed.

  3. Tanks actually have to build MR to tank AP. Well this is obvious. but i swear i have played games in season 5 where a garen or nasus would go straight armour and tank our velkoz or ahri very easily. even if they did build some health they shouldnt be able to tank it so easily. Well i played against a nasus that built full armour. obviously none of our AD champs could do much. Vayne could later game but velkoz was able to melt him. IDK if its just me but i swear tanks used to be able to build straight armor and tank everything. garen more than others. even if there runes did give them like 40 mr.

  4. ADCs other than vayne can go through tanks alot more effenciently. In season 5 a fed top lane could tank and 1v1 an adc later game a bit to easily. and i know thats what they are for but im talking about a garen late game taking on a miss fortune or draven full build. but now if you build the full build to last whisper (forgot the name) you can pretty much go through any tank very fast. so then the game goes into you must focus the adc which is more important now than ever

There are obviously things i dont like but tell me what yall think about these things

People seem to ignore Vel'koz even if he's ahead. "I need to build armor so that 0/3 Cait doesn't two shot me". Then that tank isn't able to CC Vel'koz out of his ult as he drops your entire team to one shot level.

^This If anything, AP itemisation got nerfed

You want my name2 votes

yeah thats one thing i dont like. Champs with AD have a pretty high advantage over AP.. in itemization atleast

so basically you're happy that adcs are overpowered and tanks got nerfed again? tanks should be able to itemize only against sustained damage, and not against burst, because they have such a huge health pool. usually that means not a lot of mr. tanks already have to build against physical, magic, and true damage so they are at a disavantage to people who only need to build for one kind of damage and have multipliers like crit. and anyone who is fed should be able to wreck anyone else, regardless of if they build tank. and juggernauts should be able to 1v1 anyone if they can get in range. that's the idea behind a juggernaut, but adcs are gonna make them useless like before. i'll be glad when adcs are actually balanced, but they certainly aren't right now. i do like the direction the game is taking right now though, just not the numbers

I think me and you might be the only ones that actually like some things about this patch..

The Rift Herald - Yeah I found out that it is not a joke...the hard way. lol Tanks- Honestly tanks are really weak right now ( save for Mal / Ram? ) Adcs- I like that the playstyle has to change depending on who you are on more now. Riot did a good job making each one its own ADC. *Graves needs nerfs for real though

I honestly think they helped supports out a lot with this patch. Sona/raka are really nice to play now.

Graves isn't really OP. He has shitload of DMG but needs to get really close to lay it down. He can land 4500+ burst DMG in 1-1.5 seconds late game, but he needs to get in your face for that. And you know, if ADC gets in your face and survives that long, you're doing something wrong. Though, maybe he needs E a bit tonned down. I mean, late game he gets 160 bonus MR and armor, which is strongest defensive steroid in game. And RIOT gave it to ADC. The same way they gave strongest offensive steroid to bruiser (Darius)

So with your logic, an ADC should be killed in under a second while they deal 4500 damage to you or you suck?

No.

Late game yes. For god's sake, that's why assasins exist. Also, that is DMG with 5 offensive items and no armor pen, counting all AAs crit, which is a bit unrealistic.

Let's stay talking about Graves, for the sake of continuity. I can see your points, but let's check the stats.

My average build for the stats I want: item 3094 item 3508 item 3072 item 3046 item 3031 item 1304 (100+65+75+65=305 AD, 100% crit and full 40% CDR, including high attack speed and anything from masteries.)

Graves Q late game (assuming both procs, and full damage but accounting for 100% crit and a BT) does about 1200 damage from my experience. AAs would do nearly 1400 based on passive fully striking. W would blind, making attacking harder. Include 100 damage or so. E is decent escape, and means more damage output. R would do an extra 700 damage, assuming you're the first one hit.

(this is all assuming the assassin has about 30 armor)

So, in a second with 1.80 attack speed, 330 AD and full crit, you would be blinded, and take around 4800 damage. All the time your melee assassins try to chase him, he can EASILY get out with E and/or summoner 4/summoner 7. Then instantly burst. It's like season 5 Quinn but STRONGER, unless they instakill, which is possible (assuming they can tear through Graves' E). His AA range is average for an ADC and the build I posted is why the preseason is the only time when Riot can fuck around as much as they want and still get away with it.

Also, how is anything that's building ARMOR going to get close to or damage Graves? (unless it's a Mundo)

Tanks got little buff in itemisation, but increased costs. So they are stronger late game, but need more to get there. Also, LW got nerfed. HARD

i do believe graves needs a bit of a nerf. and yeah i found out the hard way too. that rift herald does a lott of damage. we tried to 3v1 it. got it down very low and i got killed and by that time it didnt matter anymore lmao. and yeah tanks are pretty weak right now. ADCs are meant to carry.. and thats why they get supps bot. just from now on the team needs to have a close eye on bot. jg ganks when needed and even top tele down if needed. adds a bit more teamwork to early and mid game

BattleOxe1 votes

Actually, armor is more effective than before, as LW now only grants bonus armor pen, not total. But ADCs changed, so they got more power from their kit
