I don't want to hear about your last game
Dear Boards,
If your discussion is kicked off with "I just had a game where..." I don't care what comes after that whatsoever, I'm not interested. I've already decided that you're upset about something that happened, that there's no point trying to figure out whether it's a fluke or a balance problem based on your sample size of 1, and it's some personal problem I don't care about. Is this accurate 100% of the time? Of course not, but saying "I just had a game where..." makes me think that one bad experience is making you post on the boards. It would be better to lead with a point (like "Diana's Q CD is way too low") and make some other valid points, like comparisons to similar abilities, before launching into "and some of my recent experiences against jungle Dianas have shown me..." type of anecdotes. That way, I see you as a person who's put thought into this issue first, and someone who's salty that they just got rekt second.
Sincerely, McAllister
P.S. @Riot I forget the details of your proposed boards re-org, but a "My Last Game" board/tag where people who actually want to discuss and commiserate about specific matches can go to talk about them (cough and not bother me because I don't give a damn cough) would be a good addition, I think.
