Karma in the Mid Lane

Recently Riot has nerfed Karma's shielding due to her synergy with supports items that increase healing and shielding effects. This offsets as Karma gains these items in the support role, but at the same time these nerfs will reduce Karma's survivability as a Battle Mage in the mid lane.

Are any rioters willing to comment on this, and if any compensation will be made to help Karma survivability or will we have to wait and see how it affects her on the new patch?
