I kind of miss when they just touched on the gameplay and not the model and lore

I liked what they did with Soraka. They just reworked her, not changing her models, animations, lore, voice or anything. However it seems like every rework Riot does now has to reset everything. Like it's not even the same champion anymore. Take a look at Fiora. They redid her model and splash art which in my opinion was unnecessary. She looked fine the way she was, maybe a touch up but not a complete makeover. However, I can understand the reworks on old champion, but I think they go a little far too. Yorick does not look the same. At all. And look at Sion. It seems like the released a champion with the same name and a similar theme.

Riot if you do plan on keeping on doing this, at least do a little story on how they changed appearance. Like for example, Yorick went into the Shadow Isles too long and went to a chiropractor. And how Taric worked as a stripper and went to the salon. While Riot obviously wouldn't make the stories like that, you get the idea.

They do a full VGU when it's necessary. Yorick, ryze, taric, and poppy's graphics and VO were all horribly horribly outdated.

Well look at Ryze. I like what they did with him. They didn't change him TOO much, albeit the new voice is a little weird than what I'm used to.

Yeah Old Sion looked much better, you're right. The way the old Frankenstein's Monster Sion looked with his art that looked drawn with bad 1999 CGi and the way he had 11 voice lines was just magnificent. How dare Riot improve him 100 fold. I can't believe they'd make him actually look cool, with an interesting lore. Those cheeky fucks.
