Riot please you delete threads without even reading them

So I made a thread in Gameplay about an idea to balance Soraka, then they told me this.

http://imgur.com/a/KdrVF?noredirect

Mmk. So I decided to copy and paste everything from that thread to another thread in Concepts & Creations. And guess what.

http://imgur.com/a/2oJzz?noredirect

You told me to upload my idea to balance Soraka I put in Gameplay in Concepts & Creations, but then you remove that and tell me to put it in Gameplay? Seriously what the fuck, make up your mind. I even put at the beginning of the thread, "My thread for some reason got deleted even though it had something to do with gameplay but ok". And apparently that wasn't enough for you.

http://imgur.com/a/CbsTb?noredirect

You didn't even read the thread.

Hey!

I'm going to apologize quickly for the double adhere, this resulted from a misunderstanding on where certain Discussions should be located.

I've gone ahead and undeleted the original discussion in Gameplay, however you're more than welcome to repost it since it's now 19 hours old.

We're going ahead and taking steps to make sure this doesn't happen again, but I did want to thank you for bringing it to our attention!

i, for one, am glad to see an apology issued here

anybody can make mistakes, and on such a populated board mistakes are bound to happen and so an apology and effort to fix mistakes is appreciated by me at least

i still think it would be cool to issue the comment back to the OP for ease of repost in the future

anyways, thanks HurriKane

ModHurriKane1 votes

Hey!

Deleted discussion are actually viewable by the original OP, so when we link it to them in the message they can go back and view it so they can repost.

this i did not know

this means i could have reposted in the past but i didn't know?

i think this calls for a facepalm [zombie-brand-facepalm]

lol thanks HurriKane

i think i posted in gameplay that gnar dident have a reccomended jungle item when taking smite, and that for consistancys sake put in machete.... it got deleted....

Did i do something wrong?

ModHurriKane1 votes

Hi Snaggle,

Just looked at the removal and there was nothing wrong with the discussion itself, it just didn't belong in Gameplay. The topics of lag/fps/graphics is more of a Help and Support issue.

KoggyStyle1 votes

ty boss imma [zombie-brand-facepalm]

tl;dr dont post drunk and think you remember what you posted amirite?

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Just curious if the moving threads feature has been fixed yet? or what the progress is?

ModHurriKane1 votes

I don't want to set any expectation, but it is still something we'd like to do.

OhWanderer1 votes

can u fix my mark for being in this same situation. I tried to post a similar post about a different champ in Gameplay and it kept deleting it. Then it said i was spamming and it gave me a "mark". It had told me to put it in like 2 or 3 different places and it kept removing it.

ModHurriKane3 votes

Heyo,

It looks like you kept posting memes in Gameplay and we kept directing you to Memes and Games, is there a different instance we're discussing?

OhWanderer1 votes

it wasnt a meme really . . . i stated my question in the title and used a meme to say that that was simply all i was asking was that. If u dont like me mashing together two kinds of boards subjects then fine, just dont run me in circles and punish me for no reason XD.

OhWanderer1 votes

just wanted to bump this because I did not hear anything.

ImTheSideKick13 votes

I don't understand why they have to delete posts in the first place long as they are not toxic/rage/hate/negativity or other "against summons's code" issues

at the very least move the posts....

on top of this all some post belong in multiple sections

Malicious Fury4 votes

Riot doesn't have the capability to move threads using these boards.

ImTheSideKick8 votes

that only strengthens the reason not to delete posts imo

Velzard of Koz4 votes

That strengthens the reason to not use complex framework and rather build the forums on their own so that it would have such function.

They cannot, some Rioter admitted they don't have this function.

Reported for incorrect board, clearly this belongs in Roleplay.

I thought it was supposed to be Red Tracker section.

Yeah . . . their support team isn't even worth contacting. Surprisingly faster than steam's support team, but still pitiful.

I would have to second this notion. I provided a board discussion over a chat restriction I received not too long ago and when I posted the board with supporting screenshots on my claim, It was ignored and only had feedback from community (defending my case of course) - It just goes to show that they do not care about the community other then the trolls and toxic players. It is actually quite genius. The honest players, like myself and many others, have to deal with the trolls and toxicity BUT those people get rewarded and pushed through the system with flying colors? Why? because they create conflict, which in turn the honest people try to defend themselves and end up inevitably "looking bad". Why? Because when a good honest player ends up "defending" themselves, Riot likes to rebuttal with "you should not have built the flame up". The trolls get nothing in return? Why? "Because they are known as trolls, its what they do".. As if this is their JOB?! and you condone it because its their JOB? hahaha. Okay, Riot.

Every time I have reached out for "justification" or "backing evidence" behind their bans/restrictions.. I have been led to a door that does not open, or they refuse to answer the door bell. I support screenshots and they do not lift it. I ask for supporting evidence from their end and they only show me "my chat logs" but not the opposing players chat. This just creates a biased outlook from the people who make these decisions and to tell me, "we looked into the situation in its entirety" is a complete lie. If you had, the restriction would not have been in place to begin with.

I work for an accounting software, Intuit QuickBooks as a Technical Support Expert. If this were my job duty and I did not do it correctly, you bet I would be fired. I handle peoples businesses on a daily basis, over 10 million dollars worth of someones revenue on a daily basis. I have more qualifications to be a support team-member than these temps they are bringing in.

Either they have Contract-to-Hire employees working for their support team, or they are just people who are paid to meet a ban/restriction quota and are too busy tossing those out instead of actually "supporting" the community on imperative needs. Instead, we are given excuses and loops to another locked door. One of these days they will start taking customer feedback seriously. If you would like to see how a "feedback" system actually works, PM me and I will send you a survey/feedback template from my job of employment. Ill be glad to! :)

Don't defend yourself. Just walk away from the flame-babies, they burn you one way or the other every time. What Riot is saying is that by engaging them, you are escalating the situation or at the very least, giving them permission to continue flaming. The solution is very simple: Ask them to not talk to you like that and when they carry on, mute them and report after the match for harassment. SUPER easy.

Right. That has been proven, CLEARLY.

Well said! And I agree the blatant ignorance & injustices are disheartening.

In my buggy case, I had a notification saying one of my comments was deleted, but the notification was empty entirely. It had the tag that it was from a riot employee, but there was no link to the original page nor even a quote of what my comment was. So I took a screenshot of it and sent it in with a couple lines about my confusion and questioning for clarification; you know what they replied with? Four days later I got the reply "The up/down voting system helps our Boards self-moderate. Players who find a topic offensive or inappropriate can downvote a post to help hide the contents.". I facepalmed from the ineptitude, and retorted that I already knew that, and again requested they look at the picture & reread my statement. Then the next day a second rioter commented that they would transfer my ticket to another department that should be more equipped to handle it. And a third rioter added that it doesn't count against me as a report, but the original comment won't be restored. Seriously? I don't even work in customer service and I can tell something is unkosher! I had stated my question rather plainly and supplemented with a picture, I don't think I could've made it more obvious what I was asking without making a how-to video.

Out of the seven years of playing this game and roaming the boards, I've only had a few strange bugs or broken functionalities; while they give a response more frequently than steam's support, they may as well not bother as this lack of attention has been a chronic problem. I don't mind waiting a month if they can fully detail what the issue was, I know there's other reports & requests from others to deal with, as well as it never being a simple answer due to coding. But how can we expect reliable quality, if they can't handle simple questions? If they didn't understand it then why didn't they say so? I can explain if necessary, that's not a problem whatsoever. It's as if they're trying to make us facepalm hard enough to decapitate ourselves from frustration.

LOL - I just received the same message you did about server status. They removed it due to it being incorrect area, but yet it was under Miscellaneous. hahahah. They would rather remove posts, then comment on it with valid information. Useless.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

They CONDONE it? No. Ffs. The fact that YOU were punished doesn't preclude THEM being punished as well. And if they weren't, the fact that they WEREN'T punished doesn't mean they're not SUPPOSED to be by Riot's rules, it just means they didn't manage to catch them.

I understand there are problems, but as long as your complains are completely baseless Riot will ignore the real ones.

G L I T C H I N1 votes

I don't think you have a CLUE on what you are talking about bro.. Someone gets falsely muted and provides RIOT legit SCREENSHOTS of the "chat logs" they provided me, and I have myself PLUS 5 other enemy teammates reporting someone.. and the ACTUAL toxic person doesn't get punished? If you are telling me that is "baseless" you really need to get off of NA boards and get back to the EU side where incompetence is praised.

& didnt manage to catch them? 5 people plus myself reported them.. how do they "manage to not catch them" hahahahah. you really are not the brightest crayon in the box.

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

...

  1. number of reporters in a single game doesn't change much.
  2. as I told you, you can't know if they were punished from just the fact that YOU were
  3. the system DOESN'T PUNISH PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE YOU REPORTED THEM YOU IMBECILE, we've been repeating that for 3 years now. It checks if your reports are valid.
  4. if you keep spamming invalid reports, your reports don't even count towards triggering a check anymore.
  5. if the check is triggered but the parameters/algorithms for that particular offense are flawed, the person will not be punished automatically, you'll have to make a ticket about it and get them MANUALLY punished. But NOT by saying "why am I punished if he's worse", just by saying "this guy is punishable". Because the first approach doesn't make anyone want to listen to you.
Vistha Kai4 votes

Oh, so does Steam's support waves tickets aside, telling you to bump the previous ticket, and then when you bump it it remains unanswered for a month at least?

Because that happened to me with Riot's support.

Twice.

In a row.

xRéquiem3 votes

Same thing happened to me,fucking pathetic.

C0ntract0r3 votes

lol, yea they don't like actual topics, made a boards topic after being told through a support ticket to bring my issues up in the boards, had it deleted within 5 seconds of posting in 5 different sub-sections of the boards.

Aerothal2 votes

that's not riot though. that's "moderator" drones, plebs who skim posts, who make split second decisions that are usually wrong, and who delete posts with a copy pasta attached, which often doesn't even apply.

SmokedAlmonds1 votes

I don't accept this as an excuse tbh.

Yes, the moderation is done by a 3rd party but Riot is still responsible for what they do. They hired them and continue to use them.

That said, I don't think this is that serious(though not great). What happens is two different mods have different opinions on where a thread should go and since, for whatever reason, the mods don't actually have the ability to move threads they just delete them and tell you where they should be posted.

Palmeiras SerieB2 votes

Mods themselves does not respect or care about the boards rules, they delete based in their own opinions and will

OhWanderer2 votes

THEY DID A SIMILAR THING TO ME AND I GOT A WARNING MARK THING FOR IT!!

PaladinNO2 votes

Happened to me too. Twice. Not a single response when I wanted clarification. Just a "don't do dis" BS warning.

They hide behind their anonymity, and threatens with worse than just a warning if you repost the content, even when only seeking answers afterwards.

I went through basically the same thing, I submitted a ticket to attach a video from a game that took 40 minutes to upload after the next game, about a week later I got a response to use the in game system or feedback, the feedback option took me a screen that told me to use the forum, so I posted it to the forum, and it was deleted saying it was in the wrong place, so I re-submitted it, and was again told to use the forum or the in game system. Four rounds of this later you just have to accept it was never meant to work, and if one department bounces you to a different one, it's no longer their problem, and they all do it until you stop and eventually nobody has to deal with it.
