Add camera zoom out on long range abilities?

Hopefully this is the correct place to put this since it would technically be gameplay related. If not then please point me in the right direction.

I recently saw the Jhin release gameplay spotlight and when it brought up the ult and zoomed out, it made me remember something I had thought of a while ago. Zoom outs on long range abilities.

I always see them in spotlights and the like, and was wondering what peoples thoughts on it were.

I ask because unlike most people I play locked and so I tend to often guess on where to shoot my long range abilities that go off the screen. Lux's Ult, Draven's Ult, Ezreal's ult, Zigg's Ult, Varus's Q (when playing red side), Pantheon's Ult, Caitlyn's Q (when on red side), Janna's Q (when on red side), etc. etc.

So, if the camera were to zoom out for you so that you could see the range at which your ability is that it would be a nice little addition for those who play locked, and a nice addition in general. Especially on ranged abilities that go out of the main area of the screen.

Of course, some might not like it since they may claim it'll make things too easy, but in general people who play unlocked already see where they are aiming anyways, and so this addition would kinda level the playing field and just help most people all around.

What do you think? Feel free to comment why in the comments below as well, and please keep it civil. I'm not saying there HAS to be, but that it'd be pretty neat.

The view given in the spotlight is so you get a sense of scale for the ability. When actually playing the champ, you adjust the camera accordingly so you can see your targets.

Oh, I know that. I wasn't asking if the ability actually did that. I already know Jhin has insane range.

I was just wondering what people actually thought of the idea of being able to zoom out on long range abilities if you were able to, and if people wanted that or not. Just out of curiosity.

I guess to be clear, I mean that it is the way it is for long range abilities by design. Either you cast it from a range you know you're safe enough from so you can center the camera on your targets, or you give up a little potential accuracy to be more focused on yourself. Though generally, you'll actually be somewhere in the middle (champ in one corner of the screen and targets near the other).

True, and fair enough.

I just was wondering what everyone elses thoughts were. I always thought it'd be interesting though if it did zoom out. Especially for the visuals you could get. Like a panorama view. That'd be amazing.
