So if the skill is Bio ARCANE Barrage, why doesn't it apply spell effects?

Are we afraid Koggy is going to build Gunblade?

Rito why?

Okay, more seriously, the application of spell effects OnHit is really inconsistent.

OnHit damage on Jax and Kayle and Kass (when he had one) all count(ed) as spell effects.

Koggy, Voli, and Tahm's OnHit don't.

Not sure about Shen. Ki Strike seems like it should, but I haven't tested it.

Is this mostly just a 'how afraid are we of this champion building Rylais' thing?

Nah, it pretty specifically doesn't.

Go test it out with Echo. Pew pew some minions. It doesn't proc the Echo passive.

The only thing I can really think of is that if Koggy's W counted as a spell, then it would double-proc Muramana like other similar champions do.

But then, that would just make Mura a decent pick rather than a trap option since the only thing in Koggy's kit that applies it are his auto attacks and his Q.

What would you want to be procing with it? Rylai's, Liamdry's, etc.? Usually when you say such thing you should give exact situations of what new gameplay it would offer?

It would be proccing Muramana, which would open up the possibility of a more Ult-focued AD build. Or it could be used as a ranged slow with Rylai's (less range than the Ult, but still handy). And it would allow the ability to spellvamp where as right now it is in a weird limbo of proccing neither Lifesteal nor Spellvamp nor Red Elixer.

Because it's autoattacks and not a spell.

Because it's autoattacks and not a spell.

So why does Kayle's OnHit effect proc spell effects?

It does the exact same thing as Kog's.

Bonus range and OnHit magic damage.

She has an aoe, he does not.

Well, technically, it's not the basic attack that's applying on-hit effects.

Functionally, Kayle's E (and also Cho'gath's E) makes it so their basic attacks are followed up by an AoE spell effect.

Kog'maw's W just adds on-hit damage to his basic attacks.

It enhances your auto attacks like Vayne's W except Vayne's W never has a CD. Katarina throws knives, by your logic she should be dealing physical damage instead of magical damage and Yasuo should be dealing magical damage with his tornadoes.
