Cass is not short ranged

She basically outranges every ADC, meaning an ADC can't even get within auto attack range of her without completely melting. She is a medium almost long ranged mage with the perfect amount of self peel and MS boosts to kite anything literally not named Riven. And if she's not kiting, she's chasing - and you aren't escaping a Cass that's chasing you.

So let's please stop pretending her lane phase isn't oppressive, that she's this short ranged immobile mage and that her core itemization doesn't make up for the few weaknesses she has. You can be unhappy about her playstyle if you to want be as a Cass main but don't pretend she's weak because that's foolish.

It's like the people who thought DFG was balanced and necessary.

why would an adc be engaging on a cass at all? any apc with a hard form of CC is gonna murder an adc and has zero to do with her range. Most mages outrange the adcs because they have to worry about mana and cooldowns to do their damage.

Not to mention that they seldom have any sort of in-combat healing (al la lifesteal and spell vamp).

Most ADCs can focus mages at some point when cooldowns are up or dodge skillshots. Mana late game isn't a problem. Cass doesn't have this problem but you're forced to do something about her or she nukes your entire team. Problem is, she just kites that shit out of anybody trying to do this.

My point about this however is that short range MAGES like Vlad and even Ryze, they have to take a brunt of upfront damage from most ADCs in order to get in range of them. These are short ranged MAGES, I'm using the range of most ADCs just to put in perspective that Cass has no trouble outranging carries and having long enough range to to kill them through sheer outranging alone.

She is weak, when we compare her to other MAGES and AP carries... have no idea why you are talking about AD carries here.

cass is also completely reliant on landing her poisons unlike those champs you mentioned. Her Q is pretty predictable and has a small delay before it pops. Her W is not really that reliable either. All of her burst comes from twin fang which requires a set up poison first. If twinfang goes on normal cd then she loses all kill potential and becomes a non issue. Her winrate almost an even 50% across the board so at least half the population can handle her
