Is Yorick even in line to get a rework?
I feel like he's really underpar with every other top laner, he has a weird kit that doesn't synergise with most team comps. He's the Zilean of top lane and I'm just wondering if he's in line for a rework.

He's getting Sion-level relaunch, most likey.
It'll probably be Poppy, Taric, Warwick(?), then Yorick.
As far as I'm aware Yorick is actually being worked on right now and Warwick is not. So I would suspect that Yorick's relaunch will come first.
Yeah but he's supposedly been being worked on for several YEARS now by like, one dude. How accurate this is is to be questioned. It's literally all i've heard on the matter. Though I must say I am curious as to what they'll do with him.
After poppy most likely

Pretty sure Yorick has always been in line for a rework, you can probably find kits Riot's been playing with online.
Riot doesn't just crap out champions in an instant though - new champions tend to be in the development cycle for 6+ months from what I've read in Gypsylord's AMA thread (Vi's creator).
And with reworks - it's not just about getting everything to feel solid and work, with a rework you generally need the champion to feel like themselves, like they're getting reworked/improved rather than flat out deleted, and you're stuck with their theme and kit without being able to fudge it around to adapt to something else. Also, with a rework you want a solid improvement on the champion. If it isn't broken don't fix it, because the irritation of learning something new is going to backfire fairly hard on a minor improvement or change for the sake of change. With the Sion rework - I'm pretty sure it's safe to say the community wants something on that level and Riot is trying to deliver on something of that level, but it's just not easy to make a champion feel new, improved, and awesome when there's 126 other champions in the game.
And no 2 reworks are equal: some require some pretty minor changes to add that balance-lever a champion deserves, some champions have really minor issues. Yorick is not a minor issue champion, his kit has substantial flaws - which will make him exponentially harder to address than other champions like, say, Tristana.
Which leads me to this conclusion: Yorick isn't getting reworked not because Riot is ignoring him, simply they just haven't found a solid rework for him.
I feel like he's just not what he should be. Riot really didn't nail down either the undead gravedigger feel or a necromancer feel. They should fix his vu so he doesn't look like a booger. I think he needs to do animations where he tosses corpses or uses his shovel to show them being unearthed. He just does a shovel wiggle and a ghost pops out.
