How am I supposed to play immobile melees?

Riot- Build damage.

So how does that help me get to the enemy?

Riot- Don't worry they will initiate on you.

Ok, so how am I supposed to deal damage when they come to me?

Riot- Well you built damage right? That means you will deal damage!

Yea ok? but what about surviving their burst cc and damage on their initiate?

Riot- Well you don't.

Then how am I supposed to deal damage?

Riot- Well you built damage, and we gave you these awesome runes that amp damage so you can deal damage!

But you just said I can't survive their initiate, so I can't cast anything to deal damage. You also agreed that I can't initiate on them because I'm immobile.

Riot- But at least you have damage for if they don't cc you/instaburst you.

Riot- Depends, are you a tank? If so initiate the fight by using vision. Are you damage? Then wait for the fight to be initiated.

Riot- with the enemy focusing on the initiated fight, you can try to get to the back line

Riot- Positioning. Make sure you are dodging abilities and dealing damage between dodges.

Riot- Vision will spoil an assassins plan, there are some defensive items you can build as well, (GA, ZHONYAS)

Riot- Well you don't have to go FULL damage or FULL tank, there is plenty of space in between. If you're trying to hypercarry and need the damage, build just enough off-tank items to survive!

Riot- You finished diamond 5 last season, why are you acting bronze right now? If you're ahead, build damage and try to dodge abilities. If you're falling behind, build defensive and try not to be so heavy that your team cant carry you. This game only gets difficult when you make it difficult. Use wards, positioning, and your knowledge of how champions work to survive/win fights.
