Are we getting any new AP items?

First, let me say that I'm not going to complain about the new AD items. If anything I think they have a lot of cool play added to them and honestly I'm wondering if there are any AP items on the way.

I mean we have AD items that increase movement towards enemies and you take less damage when you hurt them, there are ones that now help you kill wards, give you spell shields, give you life back on every ability used, CDR based off your crit and mana back. Not including some of the cool bruiser/tank items added like Deadman's Plate.

So, I get that you don't want AP items of every AD item, but I can see how much Riot can do with new items and I'm excited for the possibility of any new AP items in the works.

Rylais and protobelt are about to be nerfed (rightfully so, but it's going to leave a gap). AP wants some love too. :(

I think a buff to item 3285 is necessary because it cost ineffective and there are better options. Maybe it should give 120 AP instead. In most cases, it's just better to go for a rylai's or morello for that 100 AP instead.

even tho the item needs a buff. i mean a champion like annie doesn't need any better chances of one shotting people. they need to figure out a way to make it a poke item. not a burst item. its supposedly for poke but the only champs that buy it are annie and kat. burst mages

how can it be a poke item if the passive bonus damage need 100 charge to be stacked, it's definitely a burst item with added waveclear, it was designed to replace deathfire grasp.

Your complaint is exactly why Riot is debating whether they want to remove Rylai's AP or its Health rather than simply reverting it. An AP mana version of Rylai's would keep it as an offensive buy for mages while reducing the number of slows you can expect to see in any game.

Riot has stated if they do peel back Rylai's AP, they may decide to buff Rabadon's Deathcap to compensate. Apparently the nerfs to it made it disappear a lot more than Riot was expecting.

Personally I think Deathcap just needs to be cheaper. 3400 gold sounds about right.
