So I just got executed level 1 by Gromp as Nidalee jungle

I didn't get a leash, but surely that can't be the only reason? I started W, 21/0/9 masteries, with Armor Yellows.

Did you use your health pots?

Did you smite gromp immediately?

Which spell did you take first?

So many factors. Get the leash, it doesn't take your laners that long to get into lane. If they want ganks, then they should be fine giving a leash.

Yes, yes, W (which I said in the OP). I did tell him. I explained that the new jungle hurts, and he just sat at his tower waiting for minions to arrive.

Oh sorry, my bad. Missed that part.

And yeah, the new jungle hurts. Even Nid (who's considered strong) needs a leash. Hell, most champions need a leash (Shaco is one known exception).

What a lazy jerk. I hope you didn't gank his lane (without taking the kill for yourself, of course) if you didn't have to.

You dont really need a leash, but you cant go 9 in utility. I mean, people in the LCS almost never get leashes. The problem was his masteries. Would a leash have helped? It would, but I'm pretty sure he would struggle anyways with 9 in utility.

Though your right that shaco doesn't need a leash it can be really helpful if he does

If i'm blue side shaco and place my boxes correctly I can stand on the opposite side of the wall, with 1-2 AA's from the bot lane I will be able to smite over the wall and get to my red

this saves about 4-6 seconds, that means I can get into the enmy jungle, or set up an early gank that much sooner

Yep. very few champs can take mobs without the tough skin passive.

I know I tried to do a camp as Nasus once before I went top, and I got wrecked and had to abandon it, where I can do the jungle easily when I play a Nasus jungle with the right masteries.

But why would you run 0 Defensive masteries on a jungler?

I just did jungle Sejuani without Smite, was perfectly fine

21 Offensive masteries isn't even needed

Nidalee is ranged. Fight from edge of leash range and you'll barely take any damage. Or at least only take damage from one camp monster and not both.

If your getting executed by a camp level 1 as Nidalee your not doing something right. Nid has god tier levels of camp clearing. You should have had over half health by the time you killed it with just one health pot being used. Also never run 0 defense masteries on a jungler. Especially one as squishy as Nidalee.
