Guys I just figured out how matchmaking REALLY works! Remember MMR? That hidden ELO of where the game believes you belong?? It DOESN'T try to balance that!! It actually tries to tip the scales AGAINST players with low MMR for their actual rank! If you have bronze 2 MMR and you're in silver 4, 5 etc. You'll be paired against other players who have higher mmr than their rank (e.g. bronze 2 with silver 4 mmr) This way, riot's system can try to get players to where they want them There is no such thing as climbing! There is no coin flip! I FIGURED IT OUT

Well of course you're always paired with the bottom of the barrel in your games when you have above average MMR. You're generally always the only player in your games with higher than average MMR. Sometimes the rare chance pairing occurs where there are 2 or even 3 players with above average MMR.
