I was silver 3 and hit a rough few games that dropped me down to 0 LP, all is fine I thought, but after my first game while in the 0 LP zone, I suffered a loss leading to a demotion.
So how does LP even work? Why, and even how did one loss demote me?
If you lose with 0 LP then you get demoted. There are exceptions though. If your MMR is high enough, you won't get demoted. Your MMR has to be extra low to drop out of any division V. Also when you reach a higher division or finish placements, you can't get demoted for your first 5? games there.
Its all based on your MMR.
