Personally I would rather get auto-filled than wait in a longer queue. I am not comfortable in the top lane, but if I ask to trade, usually I would be able to get jungle or support, two other less desired roles that I am more comfortable in, even if neither of them are my main, ADC. Even so, when no one wants to role swap, I can just play a defensive champion like Poppy and sit back. It isn't "that" hard.

Yes, riot should just remove role call and have it like before where you actually had to be good in EVERY SINGLE ROLE since it would be a coin flip of you got a role you were even decent at. How about you actually learn the basics of every role and at least ONE champion in each role? or just play very simple champions for that role?
