QUESTION: How do you get SPECIAL INTERACTIONS to happen between Champs?

Dear Riot and Friends,

I see so very few special voice over comments or interactions between one champion and another BUT i do know they exist. So far I understand I need to taunt either players on my team or enemy players, BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO BE WORKING.

Guys: how do you get the special interactions to happen? Whether its Lux saying something to her cousin Garen or Lux delivering a speech to Urgot about Star Guardians, I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO GET IT TO HAPPEN. And it seems very few of us do at all.

I.E. - Something about having to... select the enemy or friendly champ and then taunt? But with what button select? Or how?

I notice with Garen and Darius top lane, Garen will taunt with Alt 1 or 2 and say “Darius, eat your heart out!” Pretty sure if the champs are on the screen with in earshot of each other they will talk smack automatically.

use your taunt/joke keybind within a few hundred units and they do it. it can be either an ally or an enemy. by default its alt and either 1,2,3, or 4. cant remember which, but you can always change it in settings (its under the communications tab in the hotkeys menu).

note though that sometimes certain conditions must be met. they can range from:

killing a specific champion:

Zoe kills Ezreal

Zoe "but how is he supposed to be my first kiss if hes DEEEAD?"

buying a specific item:

Evelynn buys cloth armor "hmm, ittl give them something to take off..."

entering combat with something specific targets:

Ornn *basic attacks Gragas * Ornn "Hand over the ale and no one gets hurt!"

Poppy attacks any drake "I don't really have anything against dragons"

or sometimes by just spawning in game with specific champions:

Kaisa , if Kassadin is in game

Kaisa memories of my father come at the strangest moments...

and you usually just have to be near the appropriate champion and do an emote.
