Malzahar is not a healthy support

I'm sorry, but it's true. He is easily one of the most toxic and least interactive champion in bot lane right now. This champion does not belong in this lane at all and I'll tell you why.

If malzahar is in the game while you have a melee support, you lose lane. That's just it. You just lose lane, because your support has to respect malz or he's gonna lose at least a 60% of his HP for that targon stack. What makes this even worse, is that means that you have to respect him because if you don't the AD and malz will just force you to respect them.

Malz ult creates way too much pressure for an ADC. If you get ulted while the enemy adc is around you are pretty much dead, unless you have a janna or a lulu to help you disengage. The problem with this is that because he creates so much pressure, he's able to continually get his passive up, which makes it even more difficult to disengage him.

Honestly, the only real way to fix Malz is to undo his rework and try again. I know, this sounds absolutely awful and I should know because I'm a Kog'maw main and I saw what happened to him when he got reverted. The thing is though, machine gun 1v9 Kog'maw wasn't healthy either, so I understand why they did it. Did it leave him in a bad state? Of course it did, but after a few buffs and some dedicated Kog'mains crafting new builds he was okay. I just think that if Riot does revert him, they need to actually give a fuck about it and put the time and effort into making him at least a passable champion. Instead of throwing his ass out into the wild like they did to Kog'maw.

Him shitting on melee has nothing to do with him bot lane. He shits on melee by himself in a solo lane and his kit is designed to be anti-all in/assassin.

Malzahar still does that same exact thing in a teamfight regardless if he's mid or support.

Morgana also shits on him pretty hard as a support and as a midlaner. She can help with waveclear, pop his shield with her W and shield her ADC to counter his Q/ult and if he steps out of position she can Q him and he can get fucked over.

Your discription fits 100% the same as zyra then. But as a malz main, I agree with the barrier. The rework team promised us some sort of option to grab the enemy with our ult, and we did not expect that was actually "bum rushing the enemy with a barrier" that blocks anything. Its out of place

We thought it was something more fitting like malz teleporting through a void portal or something that actually relates.

I mean Thresh or Blitz can CC him once he ults, MF can ult him while he ults to make him either stop or at the very least zone the other AD away. Annie and Brand can stun him, Zyra can knock him up, Sona can ult, Raka can keep healing/silence. There is ways around Malz.
