The Nunu rework is cute and all, and it seems to be a pretty good rework thematically for them. I have a problem with it though

It's another champ with a knockup.

What's the point of tenacity anymore when every CC is a knockup? The ability shouldn't even knock up thematically.

Imagine a giant snowball is rolling towards you. When it hits you what is going to happen?

A. You get knocked down B. You get knocked down and stunned by the impact C. You get knocked backwards by the impact.
D. You magically get thrown upwards by a snowball rolling over you

Seriously though why is this even a thing? Why does every kit now need to have a knockup in it? This ability would be a cool application of the Knockdown ability like Poppy has, so that if for example a Tristana tries to jump away from you but jumps into the snowball it would knock her down. Why a knockup?

I think this is valid feedback. It should cause a small 0.1 second displacement in the direction of impact and then a regular stun. Seems easy enough to change. Hopefully, Riot reads this.

You can't even play immobile melee champs anymore. You just get chain knocked up with zero counterplay until you die.

Most Knockbacks tend to be shorter than actual Stuns or Roots though, that's why they aren't affected by Tenacity. I think the longest to date is either Yasuo's or Jannas. Then, arguably, it's actually easier to balance a Champ kit's around the fact that they'll always have this reliable CC that always last this long, no more, no less.

It's like the argument of Grevious Wounds on Vlad. (They need to balance him around the fact that GV exists, and so his healing is really strong without it, so that he isn't completely butt fucked when someone buys GV for him). If Tenacity exists, then some champions can't do their job properly, and so, the CC that is affected needs to be longer. This in turn, fucks over the people who don't buy Tenacity. A lot of Mages can only survive on their range and CC.

Now knocks-up a target for 3 sec instead of rooting.

[R]Soul Shackles Morgana pulls her targets towards her for 1.5 sec. Tenacity increases the duration of the pull by twice it's value.

I agree with this. I'd much rather the CC be some slow, a root, or even just a stun, rather than a knockup. It feels like knockups are being used where stuns would feel more intuitive, simply because knockups have different gameplay implications with regards to counters.

Said it a trillion times, will add here yet again:

Restore the CC triangle.

Normal CC (Stun/snare/root/etc.) is long (3+ seconds) but hardcountered by tenacity and QSS. Displacement is short and can't be countered but no longer stuns when being moved. (Can flash/dash out of it if you're quick enough) Suppression is the longest and can only be QSS'd but is rare and often requires a channel.

Right now the triangle is:

Normal CC which is just as long as displacement but countered by tenacity. Displacement which is short and uncounterable. Rare suppressions which are the same.

Tenacity has been useless for a long time. Most CCs are some kind of displacement rigth now.

i imagine it's because of the same reason akali got true stealth and the increase in true damage.

It's always gonna be that way and so the champ is easier to learn. When you learn to combo things and suddenly garen is like "syke ma guy i'm out, yeet tenacity" you feel bad. I think riot feels like CC is easier to balance when it's always the same. This makes champs more reliable but also reduces counterplay to CC. I'm still wondering why i'd ever pick leona instead of alistar/rakan who have her engage but either easier or also an escape.

I don't agree with this it's just what i believe is riot's reasoning.

I was also a bit disheartened that it had a knock-up tacked onto it. I didn't think it was necessary. Maybe if the snowball was rolled big enough? Maybe?

But I really don't want to see anymore micro-CC abilities anymore. Knock-ups or otherwise. It defeats the purpose of ever building tenacity and therefore relying more on champs that have the extra mobility to dodge it.

Because nunu is generally played like a tank ish champ, so he needs some level of disruption to do his job.

He also has two slows and a root- which Tenacity DOES work on.

Honestly, there are too many knockups in this game. Literally every game you get chain knocked up in the air and you can't do shit against it. It's cancer and needs to be adressed.

We need to add a Steadfast ability or a Size to things that affects Knockups like Tenacity does to stuns/slows/roots

Size would be a good one.

Things have a Size ranging from 1 to 6 Minion (melee, caster) has Size 1 Cannon has size 2 Siege Minions are size 3 Blue/Red are Size 4 Teemo has Size 2 Normal Human champs have Size 3 Cho'Goth starts out as Size 2 and ends at size 4 Zac ranges from size 2 to 4 Barron is Size 6 Elemental Drakes, Rift Herald are Size 5 Elder Drake is size 6

Knockups have a power that will knockup anything less then or equal to its power and interrupt anything more then its power.

Yasuo Tornado has power 3 Sion Knockup is Power 2-4 as he charges it Reksai knockup is power 4 Aatrox knockup is power 2,3,4

Lulu Ult adds +2 to Size

item 2138 adds +1 to Size

Some champs could have passives or abilities that add to their size for a short time (out side of Zac and Cho) Even some champs could be Size 4 by default like Sej, Sion, Mundo, Malphite, Urgot
