Why are turrets getting nerfed again?

Turrets are already as weak as paper so why are they getting nerfed again? I realize that they are getting a slight buff from the faster regen but that is off put by the fact that they can't regen past whatever third they're on.

So since those two changes equal out (more or less) why are they getting nerfed? That's like 8ish percent health off the inhib turrrets and a quarter of the health of nexus turrets? Nexus turrets are already a joke by the time you get to them since the lasers were taken away so why are they getting nerfed? I really don't see the point except to make games faster for their LC$.

Edit: If they want to make ADC's non-mandatory, or make it easier for non-ADC's to push turrets, then why don't they just reduce ADCs' damage to turrets or increase mages' damage to turrets? Ex. Instead of normal damage, critical strikes against turrets deal half damage (would have to be fixed for Jhin)

Riot is owned by a chinese company. And that Chinese company wants shorter games. Wanna know why? Because most player in china and korea are playing in internet cafes. Give up my dude. Games will just keep getting shorter and shorter

Cause riot's hell bent on killing league. Nexus turrets already die quick if you don't just sit in base wave clear while the enemy team does w/e, completely denying your ability to comeback, this just makes it worse. But you're talking about the people who nerfed the most picked jungler in high diamond, graves, by raising his ult cooldown by 5 seconds so what can you do.

but they buffed the regen rate! :^))))))))))))))))))))))))

i have no idea, i hate that they made them easier to kill since games are already <30 min average across all divisions in all regions. In Korea & NA <28 min average game time.

Would be nice if turrets would stop champions from diving and living at levels 1-3 ... That's something that shouldn't exist without getting out with a sliver of health if played perfectly. Otherwise I believe the turret nerf is to bring forth more champ vs champ while in the lane phase still. Just my thoughts though ...

My only thought on it is that while the health changes will mean relatively little against an ADC (particularly one packing item 3035 item 3036 item 3033 , since that'll cut through towers armor even faster now), it might make the towers slightly easier to push down for AP champions.

they want to make sieging without an ADC possible

In my experience, Nexus turrets usually take quite a while to go away, unless you kill 3-4 of the enemy team, or take a second inhibitor. Nerfing them a bit is fine, since most other towers are getting a buff. And they'll be far harder to take down with the new buffs to regen (meaning inhib turrets will actually regen at a decent rate, instead of taking an entire fucking match worth of time to recover the damage a single wave of minions would do.)

And, no, not letting them regen past each threshold is not an overall nerf. I usually don't see inhibitor turrets regen any relevant amount as well, so this will only be an overall nerf (or even a neutral change) in the rare cases they get it just past the threshold. And it's just a straight-up buff to outer and inner turrets, which never regen at all anyways (and the times they're up are when you need turrets the most, anyways. Inhibitor turret is mostly just there to delay them taking inhibitor and kill minions).

because more local gold on inner turrets buffs splitpushing and is a good change as global gold should be lessened, thus making teamwide snowballing less.

Nexus turret changes just help end games. If people get to your inhib, you've already lost at most times so it's really not even a change besides making already lost games end quicker.

I think riot just wants to make ADC non-mandatory.

Right now adc's being the safest at sieging and destroying turrets is one of the primary reasons why they've been mandatory for the longest of times.

If they blow up to things like mages or yorick then the concept of having one always be botlane might disappear.

They have already increase mage damage to towers

Can someone explain why they want stronger Inhib and Nexus turrets, like i don't really understand. I understand wanting stronger tier 1&2s because losing a turret off a single play 6 mins into the game with how much first turret is worth feels just awful. But i don't really understand why people want games to stall out at inhib turrets to the point were only ADCs and a few mages like Azir really matter.

Too me these read as buffs to split pushing and allowing you to wins games without needing to snowball or have your ADC carry a teamfight, which is a good thing IMO.
