Lethal Tempo and Press the Attack deal the same DPS

Or at least virtually identical on any of the champs you would normally expect to want lots of attack speed, assuming a full build.

The difference, however, is that Lethal Tempo has a cooldown while Press the Attack does not. Press the Attack is ALSO better for lane trades due to its three-hit damage proc in addition to amping your whole team's damage. So in other words, PtA is just as strong as LT where LT should be strongest with none of the downsides and several advantages.

Both of these Runes need work, not just buffs/nerfs.

PtA needs the team damage buff to only apply to PtA users.

Lethal tempo needs an extension mechanic, like shyvana w. Still a max duration, but attacking champs should extend the duration by a few seconds at max. Just my opinion.

Lethal Tempo already extends its duration from 3 seconds to 6 if you basic attack someone while it's active. Which is something I guess?

My personal opinion is that Tempo should be the 'I want to deal a massive burst of auto-attack damage' rune while PtA should be the 'I want to deal steady damage' rune. Right now they do more or less the same thing, except PtA also does other things without the downsides.

Just a quick spitballing-

Press the Attack now applies ramping damage amp to the target, capping at some percentage.

Lethal Tempo now straight up multiplies your total attack speed, but only for a window of a few seconds (maybe three?)

Those would be two very different effects. The three-hit proc damage would get the axe completely.
