Any Taric mains out there?

I'm trying to learn him and it feels like he needs too many stats:

  • A lot of armor, since his abilities have armor scalings
  • A lot of mana, his abilities cost A TON and his passive reduces his cooldowns (Q costs 140 at max rank, still high at lower ranks)
  • Health, since his Q heal scales with health and it's really low without it.

On top of that he also needs something to stick to his enemies to proc his passive.

Any tips?

I've been trying to add him to my support line up for a while but his dull ult's been painful. He REALLY stings if he gets on top of someone in lane - he's THE support duelist in my books. Generally put your focus on shield spamming with your W and FOTM, maxing your heal last and using it less for the sustain and more for the passive rotation. I personally run my tank rune page which has 11 AD and 18 armour alongside Grasp of the Undying with an early Spellblade for a bunch of raw damage in lane.

It's a cheesy tactic, but forcing fights with your stun and just wailing on people to get the snowball going is my general approach :P (Hugging the brush and using your ADC's stun thingie to your advantage is the way to go)

taric is freelo but he's a snooze. shit rework imo

My usual build right now is something like...

item 2045 item 3109 item 3107 item 3047 and then you can choose between item 3110 or item 3025 and item 3065 or item 3190. Get locket only if they actually have a high AP threat; it doesn't give you health or CDR anymore so it's not really universal. Spirit Visage is a lot more expensive but it's got great stats and you'll be unkillable with the bonus to healing you get from Visage and Redemption.

Also consider item 3222 if they have a lot of CC.

He is in an awkward spot when it comes to itemization because he wants beefy tank items (like Leon, Braum and Allistar etc) but also Shield/Heal items (like Nami, Soraka and Janna etc). Ends up being a "Jack of all trades, master of none". In the end, only his Ultimate feels like it has any impact.
