New Sorcery Keystone Idea: Supernova

Intended users: Champions that mix spell weaving and diving such as Diana, Akali, and Elise.

Effect: After landing a spell on an enemy champion, charge up with arcane energy and gain a supernova stack. Landing multiple spells gains additional stacks (max 4). 3 seconds after landing the first spell, release a burst of arcane energy from your champion (think a radius the size of randuins omen) that deals 15-80 (based on level) (+15% AP) (+25% bonus ad) adaptive damage per stack.

Cooldown something like 35-10 based on level.

Thoughts?

With a damage-focused keystone, you have to ask: Why not Comet or Electrocute instead? Comet only requires you to land one spell to get the full effect, and Electrocute works for instant trades (a 3-second delay on your keystone damage might not always land). The damage would either need to be significantly higher than the other options to warrant the use of it, or it would need to happen more often.

Personally, I'd rather see it have some other kind of benefit than damage. Maybe charge up a shield as you land spells, and when the shield expires, any HP left in the shield is dealt as damage. This not only makes it more interactive, as enemies can damage you to lower your damage potential, but it also gives you some survivability when you all-in.

Hmm maybe link the proc to an auto attack or another spell? Because it would be kinda broken for a mage to dump their entire spell rotation on a target, the target attacks thinking it can kill the mage/diver before their spells come back up again only to be decimated by an explosion 3 seconds later.

I guess having it deal damage in the area around the diver/mage might be good enough but it would be kinda interesting to have it proc on an auto attack instead.

Effect: Each Ability or Basic attack against an enemy champion grants a charge of Supernova for 4 seconds. Upon reaching 5 stacks, your next ability or basic attack against an enemy champion will emit a supernova from the target dealing 15 - 80 (based on level) (+15% AP) (+25% Bonus AD) adaptive damage to the target. Additional Targets hit take 80% normal damage.

Honestly, I'd almost take Aftershock if I were thinking of running this (and I've done it before, actually...albeit it was on accident playing Pantheon, it actually worked decently well. >.>

Sounds like it would never be used over electrocute.
