Rune rework concept

Each rune page has the following 1 quintessence slot 3 seal slots 5 shared mark/glyph slots

(note: all runes are available for free, since they have more impact than mere stats now)

  1. Quintessences are the main buff provided by the rune page. They can do crazy things to your champion, from adding utility to increasing the scalings on your spells.

Some examples include

Quintessences of Frost Dealing magic damage to a champion will snare them for 0.1 seconds before slowing their movement and attack speed by 75% for 1.5 seconds (10 second cooldown)

Quintessences of Enchantment Your basic attacks and physical damage spells deal bonus magic damage on hit equal to 30% of your ability power. Additionally, you gain 15% armor and magic penetration.

Quintessences of Revival Your death timers are reduced by 50%. Upon respawning, you gain 50% movement speed and reduces the remaining cooldowns of all your spells by 50% (This triggers on regular respawn, as well as revival from items and champion abilities. This rune will not reduce the cooldowns of revival effects)

Quintessences of Chronology The base cooldowns of your spells are reduced by 1 second, pre CDR (1 second minimum).

  1. Seals offset the power granted by the Quintessences by nerfing your champion. You need to have 3 of them, and you cannot have more than one of the same type.

Some examples include

Seal of weakness The base damage of your damaging spells are reduced by 10.

Seal of sluggishness Reduces the effectiveness of speed and attack speed buffs by 10%, and slows your missile speeds by 10%.

  1. Glyphs and Marks share slots, and do pretty much the same thing as they do now: increase your stats. Marks provide more stats for physical champions, and Glyphs provide more stats to those of an arcane persuasion. They will, however, provide MORE stats.
