Why do people not surrender in obvious losses.

I'm playing unranked normals and I find that a lot of the time, even when the game is very clearly lost, people refuse to surrender. When it's something like 22-10 and they have a very fed jhin as well as everyone going positive, while my team have everyone doing like crap... yes even me, I personally think it's over. Nobody else seems to think so, okay that's absolutely fine. We get wiped and wiped again, their team maintaining the 2 to 1 ratio kill lead and their jhin getting unbelievably fed to the point where they are 2 shotting everyone as they come out to hide behind the turrets. Still NOBODY wants to surrender. WHY?

This one teammate is always saying how we need to group up and how it's not over when it's clearly been over like 20 minutes ago and they're wiping our team almost every time we spawn.

Am I the only one that sees a loss when it happens?

Out of around 150 games i think, the only comeback I remember was when we came back from a 0-10 early game. That's IT. 1/150. So theres about a 0.7% chance for us to win this game and instead of surrendering and going 24 minutes into a new game we go 44 minutes in a game that should have ended at 20 or at the very most 30. Why? What's the point?

On top of this apparently I'M toxic because I didn't try my hardest vs a jhin that can instakill me. Isn't it far more toxic to waste half an hour of everyone's time?

Anyone else have similar experiences? Anyone disagree and if so, why?

Yea I get this a lot. I'll never understand why this happens.

won with 12.7k disadvantage

the only times you should be surrendering is when you have inters on your team that just want to waste your time, but they're the ones pressing no to waste time. i'll play on if people on my team are actually trying. i actually win a decent amount of those, like 20% or something. people throw a lot.

Spite.

Seriously. If you're the type to start spamming "gg /ff", "its over", etc when the game is 20-10 and not actually over yet, then people aren't going to vote with you 20 minutes later when its way out of hand.

Also, if the game has gone on for an additional 20 minutes, then you were probably wrong when you first started spamming.
