I need someone to clarify this.

Kalista. Why does her passive-hop-distance scale with [BOOTS TIER] and not [MOVEMENT SPEED]? Making slows actually mean something to her?

I know this was probably asked a lot previously, but I couldn't find a reasonable explanation.

I believe it is because it is too hard for the kalista to calculate where she is going to land if it is variable based on of she got hit by a slow or not. It would be impossible to calculate where they would end up with such a high MS range between a 15% slow and an 99% slow calculated between no boots and tier 3 boots

Haven't thought about this. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

because that would mean her passive is useless when shes slowed, making her a lot weaker than she deserves

So make it scale with some % of her current movement speed? I'm not complaining, I just want to know what was the thinking behind it.

I honestly thought it was for consistency so that the kalista knew about where she was going to land unlike how it would ve trying to figure out how a talisman affected her jump compared to thresh's box
