If I am very strong as support and not nearly as strong in any other position, why am I forced to have another option?
Yesterday I picked primary support and secondary mid because I figured I would be assured support. Nope. Got mid lane. Shockingly I got mid lane. I didn't lose lane and feed or anything, Just that I was having a few issues going against a champion ive not played against 1v1 in lane before.

Neo Cyrus3 votesThe hilarious part is that as a mid main I can never get mid. I always have to ask someone to swap with me or I get my secondary every time.
There is no difference between selecting primary and secondary, it just gives you whichever opening comes up faster, which in my case is never mid. Maybe it's because my secondary is ADC and nobody wants to lane with someone else. That and being ADC from the red side is still cancer to this day.
Tobias Brackner1 votesI'm not sure if you "never get mid." I would be surprised if you primarily get your secondary over your primary. And if so, that'd be a testament to just how popular your primary is, and that's just bad luck.
Matsoman3 votesI think having a separate queue for normal dynamic queue and people who want a single role in exchange for higher queue times could work.
Wimbledofy5 voteshaving separate queues wouldn't be possible. Separate options in one queue could work, but if there are two separate queues that will make normal dynamic at least twice as long as it currently is, and the other new mode would probably take 5x longer.

And if they are duo with an ADC, they are sure to get bot lane, and i don't want to mess that up.
Llanite1 votesMost of them got in as 'fill' so they are actually comfortable with any roles. If they play only support or a duo, you might have to dodge but it's quite rare. It might be deceptive but simply say "I got counterpicked/My mid got banned" and ask to support, most people won't mind switching.

macromite1 voteswant to know what, 1 trick ponies can't play any lane to the fullest. there are so many different strategies and logics that go behind every single position that calling them 1 trick ponies doesn't do it justice.
the real reason is that long queue times because people don't play support. and that's because supports sucks to play, and that's riots fault at this point. the game has so much congratulation for kills and nothing for assists. wardign is importatn but there's no real exhilaration to it, its just warding.

Alot of people who simply dont want to play a seconday role such as support because they are sick of it at this point have been asking this for weeks, but all the Jungle/Mid mains consistently bitch and downvote because it doesnt affect them at all, so theyd rather shove the idea down and keep faster que times for their own selfish asses.
Tobias Brackner2 votesI don't see what the problem is. If you are tired of getting Support all the time then don't pick it as a secondary. If you don't get your primary then take it as a chance to git gud at the secondary. Sometimes you consistently get your secondary but that's just bad luck. I'd be surprised if people more often than not get their secondary over their primary.

I love playing jungle and honestly only play support because its such a contested role that if i didnt play something else, id have to dodge countless games. I hate top lane, so im not playing that, mid is so contested why even bother picking it up, and adc is just such a shitstorm and youre so dependant on your support (who likely isnt a support main) and youre just so dependant on your team that i would never want to play the role. Sometimes i dont want to fucking play support, but if i try to Ranked, id be lucky to get my main role 30% of the time with support secondary. It doesnt even try to put you in your main role.
The Loveless2 votesI used to love typing fill before dynamic queue. I would actually end up with ANYTHING. Now if I pick fill, it's mostly support but sometimes matchmaking will troll and give me mid, while the guy who first picked mid gets support (his secondary).
