The community expected ARURF to have all champs unlocked to avoid the case of ARAM accounts getting OP champs every game.

A lot of the OP champions in URF typically won't find their way into ARAM accounts. If you have an ARAM account you typically won't have some of the worst offenders in URF (e.g. Evelynn) on your account.

Once again, the case of the vocal minority. I believe more people are happy with the random element helping to mix teams up. However, when people are happy, they are less likely to speak out, whereas when people are upset they will make multiple threads. Thus the people who disliked the stagnant team comps of URF are happy, but now we are hearing from all the people who dislike random champs.

I don't think it'll go back. I remember the first time URF came out, and no one knew what would be good. It was a lot of fun. The next year it was worse, people remembered what was OP and picked that. When it hit the rotation, I got super tired of seeing the same 6 champs in every game. I'm glad this is mixing it up and I think it helps keep the game mode fun.

I HATE, this mode not only do you not get to pick whoever you are, causing the balance to be based on pure LUCK but you don't even get to do custom NO CUSTOM!?

Why?! I can't do custom urf? is this a glitch? is it coming soon? did they seriously remove the only way to play who you want to play on urf?

Yep. People are just going to dodge when they don't get what they want. And I don't blame them - I don't get to do what I want 40 hours a week as is.

then why are you even playing the game in the first place? i dont get people play these modes when arent even forced to, and then dodge when they dont get to play what they want. did they do the same with norms and draft back in the day?

I personally disliked urf since release since everyone abused the same picks and it was boring . I enjoyed the mode agaisnt bots and to be fair it was a fucking blast

its not tryharding lol, playing a champ like Azir is legit super fucking fun on URF. getting handed tahm is not.

the sweaty tryhards are the ones that pick sona galio or xin zhao in URF, you know they're doing it cus those champs are broken on urf no one actually likes playing them lol

But your own post admits that "sweaty tryhards" were a huge deal in URF. People like Galio and Xin were in every single URF game until it became random. Maybe you weren't tryharding but a lot of people did and they made it very difficult to have fun in that mode. Nobody liked auto-losing to people like Galio because someone felt like getting an easy win.

I feel bad for everyone not getting to play their URF favourites (myself included, I can't say I wanted to play Miss Fortune or Kayle today, but I prefer it this way. Personally, I felt that in the past I couldn't pick the champions I wanted to have fun with anyway, because they weren't very good and you needed to pick good champions to keep up with the enemy team. Now at least if I roll someone who isn't an URF staple, I know there's some chance I won't lose in champ select. If your fun champions in URF were people who were stronger, like Azir, I can understand how that's less of a problem.

If you had no problems with URF in the past then I really sympathise with you because Riot really aren't catering to people like you this time, but they're appealing to the people who URF wasn't working for before this time and that's worthwhile too. Maybe you want to sit this one out but people like myself who sat out last time get to come back this time and that's a pretty fair trade.

Yeah because relying on RNG instead of being able to ban the champs you don't want to see is so much better.

AR URF is crap and Riot should feel bad.
